Draft another stud we and the Super Bowl is definitely in play.
No.Brees would no longer be on the roster if that was case. Like you said, if we don't win the SB it's time to send him packing whether he wants to play or not.If you had a Rogers, Mahomes, backup would we still let the decision be Drew's
I'm sorry but I must have overlooked the super-bowl we won between 17-20? No ring, no progress.Question.
Why do we speak of Brees as if we’re doing him a favor by letting him hang around? Are we just going to forget the fact that he had arguably his best season last year? Are we ignoring that 2017-2020 Brees is actually better than 2006-2016 Brees? I’m not overly sentimental and I have no problem letting go of Brees...when he can no longer play. But now is certainly not that time.
I see.I'm sorry but I must have overlooked the super-bowl we won between 17-20? No ring, no progress.

As I've said before, I don't think TB or TH will leave us to the SB nextyear. I would rather we take one step back, and then two steps forward than continue with the 1 mo year mantra we've on for the past 3 years. But honestly there is no difference between losing in the first round of the playoffs or third. I believe we have a playoff roster that is bigger than Drew, and someone like Teddy is just as capable of Kirk or Jimmy G. The argument for Drew is that he will get us over the hump and he has not been able to these past three years and he will be 42 next year. Once you become SB winner that becomes the standard, not a winning, and not just making the playoffs. That's not how elite franchises operateThis is a league with 32 teams in it. We've managed to become one of the elite teams in the NFL the last three years. Most teams would gladly trade places with us because just making the playoffs is difficult, much less winning a SB.
The idea that another QB is going to lead to us winning the SB in the near future is possible, but unlikely. It's more likely to lead to a regression.
Drew Brees is my quarterback as long as he wants to play. You don’t shoo away an annual stalwart because Teddy Bridgewater played pretty well for a five-game sample size, and you especially don’t shoo him away for a gadget player (admittedly, a great one) with an even smaller sample size of passing success.
Teams wait decades (like us) if they ever get a quarterback in Brees’ league. If he wants to play, you make everything else work around him.

I don't mean overnight. I just mean we can start the process of finding his replacement, which will represent progress instead of regression. We have some challenges ahead I just believe we might as well get going rather continue to delay the inevitable. That's fine. I just think the idea that you are going to get rid of Drew Brees and then take two steps forward is probably overly optimistic.
Didn’t want to start a new thread.
Logical fallacy.Worked out well for Bill Walsh
I’m not even sure I know what this means. Can we draft 15-17 studs? Because in the Minnesota game we only had about 3 playing.
