Anyone know why the divisional and conference championship games start at 2 instead of 12?

i hate it, wish they started at 12.

ever since i was a kid the conference championship games started at 2. Was this the first year the divisional games started later?

It’s the lowest rated part of the playoffs. The Divisionals are when the ratings really jump up.
