Let's just put an end to this Taysom Hill nonsense right now (2 Viewers)

Funny thread.

Hill might not be a franchise QB, but if you're going to write an article saying it, you should back up your points with relevant video.

After saying Hill's deep ball dies after 45 yards, there's a clip showing a 20 yard pass that went over the receivers head.

It's funny how earlier in the day Hill had said he saw himself as a starting QB in the league but later or the next day (after his agent got in his ear) he's saying he's a franchise QB. All of this talk is just that. Talk. It's what props up players to get the biggest contracts possible. Hill's agent wants someone to think he's franchise quality QB material to get him the biggest offer possible. If that were to happen, we'd just have to take the first round pick and wish him well.

My cousin brought that up also (not jokingly like you did). He didn't see the guard/center getting bullrushed straight to Taysom. Dude had to avoid that to throw it. If that person held his ground, that would've been 6 points on the board.
Bro that was about as clean of a pocket as any NFL QB can ask for.

He had a clean pocket but had to move to the right a little to get the angle to throw the pass with any chance of a completion and that's why he was late getting it off, IMO. I saw Hill throw the ball 60 yards in the air in camp this past camp. He's got the arm strength to make any throw, his accuracy also looked much better in preseason as well.

So one pass = not adequate? I guess all Qb's are inadequate then. We've seen Taysom throw a beautfiul deep ball. This is a guy who is blocking, running routes, taking on multiple defenders, then asked to throw a bomb after not throwing any passes all game, and you want to judge him off one pass?
Randle El managed it quite well throughout his career. And his stats were significantly better than Taysom’s

I can't call it until i see what he got. Most players that has a good college career and are highly touted gets drafted early and turns out to be garbage. Some are drafted late and undrafted comes in and are your best players. I think the guy deserves a chance as Marcus Colston, Pierre Thomas, Zach Strief, Carl Nicks and so on has gotten. Hill may be and then again he may not be but it want be fair to him if he's never giving a shot and i believe the saints will give him one. A quarterback will be drafted and a free agent QB will be brought in for competition, that is and when Drew Brees retires. I don't think anyone would like if someone crapped on them to the boss about moving up to a position you never been in before. They don't know, you just may be the best at it.

That severely underthrown ball to Harris in the playoff game should prove that Hill is not an adequate passer

That and he holds the ball way too long

I calculated that there were around 16,000 psses thrown in the NFL this season. His was the 8th longest through the air.

You have an interesting definition of "severely underthrown ball",

It was a clean pocket but look at the video below your comment. He had to step to his left just slightly. That threw off his timing and took a little off the ball.

I didn't realized Ram was the OL. I thought it was a guard. lol

EDIT: Hill's arm could also not be strong enough. I'm trying to to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Red meat for the Taysom isn't a QB contingent (aka Teddy is a QB contingent)

"You typically need more than a handful plays to form an opinion on a quarterback, but I don’t know if that’s even true for Hill. He just doesn’t look like an NFL-caliber passer. He plays with no sense of timing or rhythm. "

The author is an ardent Teddy booster so you may want to shake a little salt of this .

So this clown writes an article and all of a sudden knows more and knows better than Sean Payton..........................that sounds about right.

There is one thing that Saints fans need to prepare for. Like it or not Hill will be given the opportunity to be the starter next season.
