Saw something today that made me think about an old movie I saw about 15 years ago.

The movie is “Suckers” and it’s the dirty underbelly of the used car business.

I remember it being funny but even more so very powerful in how sad and dishonest they were.

Fast forward to today, in a world where it’s so easy to watch any movie ever made.

And then.....Netflix-No. Hulu -No Prime-No HBO-No
OnDemand No.

So I went to buy it on Amazon.....saw 3 sites selling it.
$80, $90, $137.

What the fork?

Am I missing something here.....any ideas how I can find this at a normal price?

Thanks in advance!!!

Yep!!

wonder if that’s why it cost $137 ???

gotta pay those legal bills

Have you tried crackle or popcornflix? I'd find a service like those were you stream for free. I'd bet you could find on Kodi if you used it. Might need real debris too tho.

Never seen those movies but I did enjoy that movie The Goods, which I believe is on Netflix.

Seen it.

Frustrating that I can’t find Suckers though.

I get it.

Amadeus is an Oscar winner for Best Picture and for a while I couldn't rent it.

It was frustrating because it is one of my favorites.

You just reminded me to check again.

What an incredible film. Didn’t realize it was also unable to rent.

I guess I just thought every movie was either streaming, or able to rent for a few bucks.

I am trying to find a movie from the early 90’s. Basically it is about the early stages of the Internet and it’s a role playing game. The problem is that it is actually a political thriller as what happened in the game actually orders to kill people. It’s an Australian film.

I saw it on eBay for $40.
It’s a low budget out of print movie, so it’s really difficult to get a copy.
Here’s the link if ya interested.

Customer: We sat here right in this room and went over this and over this!

Jerry: Yeah, but that TruCoat--

Customer: I sat right here and said I didn't want no TruCoat!

Jerry: Yeah, but I'm sayin', that TruCoat, you don't get it and you get oxidization problems. It'll cost you a heck of lot more'n five hundred--

Customer: You're sittin' here, you're talkin' in circles! You're talkin' like we didn't go over this already!

Jerry: Yeah, but this TruCoat--

Yeah, probably my favorite movie ever made.

Customer, to his wife who does nothing but clutch her purse in her heavy winter coat....:

“These guys....these guys....always the same....always more” ???

Back in the day of video rental stores, if a movie wasn't wholesale, i.e. you could buy a copy at walmart for $20, you could only buy it via distributors, and a single VHS copy could easily cost $70-90.

DVD's eventually broke that mold due to the lower production costs, but overall, if something is a limited release, or wasn't re-released for DVD, then it's going to be expensive. The first DVD's came out in Spring of 1997 in the US.

I went through the wiki page and Sucker's has been released a few times, but the wiki pages showing every VHS and DVD released (or maybe just bigger name releases) does not have it listed at all.

The little I saw showed that it was a film festival movie (maybe a limited release?) and has been on HBO. So, you might have some luck looking through HBO.
