What would you do if the Saints signed Winston? (1 Viewer)

I’d be ok with it. He has elite potential...probably will never put it together...but with Payton, Brees, and Carmichael there’s a chance. He has matured quite a bit which is nice.

It’s true, given his idiocy, poor eyesight, and poor oline, his stats are quite impressive.

Taysom will have first crack at the backup job, but with Sanders signing, to fully maximize this high power offense it will require Hill getting in the field frequently, and if he is on the field frequently we will need a solid backup quarterback.

While Jameis Winston isn’t a top shelf qb, he can certainly slide into the Teddy Bridgewater spot, bringing experience and untapped potential. With him sitting behind Brees, and having Pete and Sean in his ear (rather than whoever he had in TB), he could take his game to another level. Throw in the fact that he will be coming from a division rival, it would be the complete divisional coup de grâce.

Shirley you're not serious???

He has all the athletic ability of an elite player.............................he also has the mental capacity of a door knob!!

If it’s cheap enough I wouldn’t mind whatsoever. He’s the best QB left on the market not counting Taysom, but I really don’t consider him on the market ?. The dude is a gifted passer, but just makes boneheaded plays at times. He’s the first QB to ever throw 30 TDs and 30 INTs in a season. Could Payton work some magic with him? Maybe so. But I doubt we will see that. Maybe he gets better with age. His still young and has a talented arm, so he should get another shot as a starter.

Jacksonville ought to sign him to compete with Gardner Minshew, but they probably gonna try to tank for Trevor Lawrence.

He's such a Jekyl and Hyde player... When's good, he can be really good and when he isn't well you throw 30 picks in a season. The problem with Jameis too me, is does he want to be great does he want to put in the work, he has talent for days but that only take you so far. I agree with what some have said that's not really a Payton guy, really think we've done well at flipping the locker room over the last 3 seasons and we have a great "culture" of players even though we haven't accomplished the biggest goal.

I hope Lattimore gets a few licks on him before thinking about putting on Black and Gold.
