They got scared once Perot made some waves. Look up the woman’s league that ran it.

Perot represented the pinnacle of what a third party can accomplish in America. Siphon off just enough votes to tip an election.

Winner-take-all, first-past-the post elections mathematically guarantee two parties. The only way to change it is to change how we count/allocate votes.

He put testing in double-quotes, so I think that means the word is up for interpretation and can include anymore than the standard swab tests.
This is the "test":

Q: Have you been in contact with anyone with Covid-19?
Q: Have you been to China or Italy recently?

So, I think the information is true. According to this (https://covidtracking.com/us-daily/), the US is up to 359,161 test administered. Mostly all in the last few days. South Korea (https://www.cdc.go.kr/board/board.es?mid=&bid=0030) has tested 357896.

Keep in mind that South Korea is about 1/6 the size of the US. So, we're still lagging in terms of testing as a percentage of our population, but it's also true that our testing capacity is ramping up quickly.

Not to be nit-picky, but I'd like to know Trump's definition of "by far" then.

1265 difference in 359,161 tests.

Still, what is the point of that tweet? Seems like the appropriate situation for this:

Meh, there's plenty of things I criticize Trump on, but this is not that bad. Basically he's saying we've ramped up our testing capacity over the past week, which is definitely true.

This is a good thing, and I hope our testing capacity continues to expand exponentially. I'd love to get to the point where we can test every American 2 or 3 times a week.

I much prefer the way you get the message across.

We should not be running out

The U.S. of A.

Slow to start but we finish spectacularly (in failure or success)

I think we have the largest population that is at risk from the virus currently. Only parts of China had cases. We have them pretty much across the entire country.

Many of those ones and twos in less populated areas could become half the town in a couple if weeks.

A small town where I grew up of about 3000 people has one case that tested positive yesterday.

Where did that one case shop or go to church? Those people were probably exposed a week or two ago.

They’ve all been exposing people since then.

I think rural people especially have been underestimating the situiation.
