My dream mock since we get each of the 3 positions I think we need the most with future starting caliber players. Plus we get a LSU Tiger from my favorite college football team of all time.

24. LB Kenneth Murray Oklahoma - we need a LB more than anything and I think he’s the 2nd best in this draft. Move him right into the MIKE spot and let’s go. I wonder if K’Lavon Chaisson could play SAM on first & some 2nd downs and move to DE on passing downs? He has the athleticism and ability to do it, but can that be done effectively. Imagine a line of Cam, Rankins, Davenport, & Chaisson coming after the QB on 3rd downs. If he could do that effectively I might have him as the 2nd best 4-3 LB.

42. Trade 3rd & 5th to move up in the 2nd
CB Kristian Fulton LSU - IMO at this time corner is our 2nd biggest need. We need some youth there as well cause Jenkins & PRob are in their 30s. I think Fulton is gonna be a damn good corner and keep the DBU alive & well in the NFL.

80. Trade 4th & 6th to move up in the 3rd
WR Denzel Mims Baylor - not sure he would be there, but the receiver position is so deep some will likely fall a lot further than usual. He has nice size and speed as he ran a 4.38 at 6’2” 206. Would be perfect competition for Tre’Quan Smith cause he needs that this year since it’s make or break for him.

I would rather get 5 or more players, but if we could get 3 players like these 3 I would be more than happy. All 3 have a chance to be contributors right away. Plus we get beast UDFAs that should of been drafted every year like Deonte Harris & Shy Tuttle this year. I doubt this would happen, but won’t be surprised if we trade up at some point in this draft since we seem to do it often. I’m hoping Murray, Chaisson, or Queen will be the pick if we think Chaisson could play SAM & DE. SAM is probably the position needed the most, but I think Anzalone &/or Kiko can play there if we get someone like Murray or Queen.

I like your picks but I don't think Mims or Fulton will be there. Maybe Fulton, if things fall right, not Mims though.

I agree that our 3rd (or 4th) pick will probably have a pretty good receiver sitting there though.

I do think there is a pretty good chance we trade up. Those comp picks next year will give Payton more confidence to do it. He won't be able to sit on his hands if a player he likes starts falling.

I think it will cost a lot more than a 3rd and 5th to get into the middle of the 2nd. Similar with the move back into the 3rd round.

Not on board at all with the Chaisson idea. Certainly not something I'm risking, on an already risky player, in the 1st round.

A 4th and a 6th won’t get you into the 3rd

...and if it did, and Denzel Mims was still sitting there, it’s be unbelievable!

...but... I’ve been locking myself in the house the past 2 weeks trying to avoid a global pandemic... so stranger things have happened.

If Jalen Hurts is there in the 3rd, you have to take him

Nahh I'll pass

Maybe in the 5th or 6th, but he may not make it that far

I just dont think we should waste one of our premium picks this year on a qb, unless it's Burrow or Tua, and that happening so....

Jalen has a lot of work to do, he benefitted this year playing lower level competition and Oklahoma being able to out athlete everyone else.

In the playoff game against LSU, it really exposed his weaknesses with his footwork, pocket awareness, and his ability to go through his progressions.

He is just to much of a project to spend a premium pick on IMO

I think this is overly optimistic having Fulton available in the 2nd, and Mims falling into the 3rd. (I think the more likely of the two is Fulton falling early 2, but I definitely don't see Mims lasting that long with how he tore up the Senior Bowl and combine.)

I think you're more likely to see some combination of Jaylon Johnson, AJ Terrell, Noah Igbinoghene, Damon Arnette, Cam Dantzler, or Bryce Hall of being corners available in the 2nd round.

For 3rd Round Wide Receivers I think you're looking at Devin Duvernay, Van Jefferson, Donovan Peoples-Jones, Bryan Edwards, KJ Hill, Tyler Johnson, Antonio Gandy-Golden..

now the compensation to trade up to get those picks is a whole different story,

I don’t know about the draft chart values. I’m sure some gurus will chime in but I love the concept. Trade UP and get 3 stars or very good players over 5 kinda good players. Every day all day. I love that SP and ML think this way alst
