Not necessarily. There hopefully will be treatments that can help people survive and recover. It would be great to catch it early enough before it causes pneumonia, because from what I understand, that's what leads to fatalities.

The question I guess is how close are we to these possible treatments becoming viable and widely available.
I've lost track of all of the possible treatments I've seen so far. I know there's at least a handful of them. Maybe closer to two handfuls. Not even talking about the vaccine trials.

Vaccine, treatment that knocks the seriousness way down (perhaps except in the very old), or it running its course, which means 2/3 of the world getting it and the associated consequences (millions of deaths globally) that would come with that.

Only three ways this thing stops. I'm hoping for the treatment option, because the vaccine is a year out and the third option is awful.
Yeah, but will the third option come before the treatment option? If only we could have massive amounts of antibody blood tests. I think we're going to be somewhat surprised when we start seeing those results coming in - in a good way.

Buddy of mine who is a ER doc said he misses the days of treating gunshot wounds and other injuries instead of covid-19. Told me about when he saw his first covid case go bad. "This is by far the scariest thing I have ever seen and I thought I saw a lot."
Geez. I've seen my fair share of horror movies, but those comments sound like they're on another level.

The Des Moines Register newspaper reported Friday that bookstores and flower shops across Iowa were ordered closed, but adult toy shops were still allowed to remain open as essential businesses.

A relative of mine who works in hospitals in Nola said most if not all the patients going on a ventilator also suffer from renal failure. So now if you are one in five who makes it off the vent you now have to go to dialysis. The patients who die from this go out gasping for their last breath until they don't. God bless our medical care workers.

Maybe, but a lot of people got tested for the flu and turned up negative. So it wasn't the flu. That was the case for me.

And don't forget we didn't have a test, and or couldn't get tested cuz none of these people qualified. I think there was probably some undocumented community spread in December and January.
There are various coronaviruses. And many other viruses that can lead to severe ailments.

I mean, getting bronchitis isnt new or novel. Having that possibly lead to pneumonia isnt new.

I think we had a bad cold and flu season and then this covid19 came in like a hay maker at the end.

I really don't want to address it, but at least most conspiracy theories can get some kind of rational logic out of them, How on earth do 5G towers cause respiratory illness?
No clue but I have read that some frequencies can do some changes to cellular structure. I have no clue what 5Ghz does though.

I recall that ending scene of Thank You for Not Smoking movie about cell phones.
