1. Patrick Queen LB LSU - we get a queen that plays like a king. I would be more than happy to select Queen at 24. He could either play MIKE like Debo Jones does for the FailClowns or play WILL with Davis moving to MIKE. Either way he will be on the field from day one.

3. Jacob Eason QB Washington - we get our QB for the future and a good backup for this year. I want Taysom to stay in his joker role for as long as possible cause he offers more to the offense in that role. Eason is huge at almost 6’6” 230. I would love to see this guy throw bombs to Harris. If he falls to our 3rd rounder we almost have to jump on it IMO. It would be nice to get a rookie draft pick like Eason that could learn for a year under Drew. Then next year we have a QB battle between Taysom and Eason for the starting spot.

4. Michael Ojemudia CB Iowa - a talented corner with some size at 6’0” 200 and runs a 4.45 40. Due to that pretty fast 40 he may not make his way to this pick in the 4th round though. I just hope we get the best available corner either here or in the 3rd cause I would rather get a receiver in the 4th/5th since they should have some good ones still on the board.

5. Joe Reed WR Virginia - I really want this guy and he should be available in the 4th and maybe even the 5th. I like his build and that he’s a great return man. We need a good backup kick returner cause we really don’t currently have one. Coach will want to send a message to Harris if he were to fumble a return. So hopefully whatever WR we draft can also offer some return ability.

6. Michael Divinity Jr LB LSU - we get our SAM LB. At 6’1” 240+ he should be able to play the SAM role for us. He falls in the draft due to his off the field problems. I seriously doubt we would get two LSU LBs, but I would take them both for sure. It’s probably not a good idea to draft a local player with off the field problems, but the value is there at a position of need. We don’t need him to start right away and if he messes up it’s not that big of deal since it’s a 6th round pick. Maybe with the virus we end up taking more LSU/local players than usual since we could likely meet with them in person.

My projected LBs:
SAM: Anzalone, Divinity
MIKE: Queen, Kiko, Elliss
WILL: Davis, Robertson

Would be very surprised to see Eason still there late in the 3rd.

Even more surprised if Divinity lasts until the sixth round.

I'd take that draft, tho.

I would switch 3 to Michael Porter Jr and 4 to Jake Fromm. We still need a #2 WR.

Omg this is perfect!!!

I don't want to flood the forum with other threads on the topic so I thought I would put this one I just did here, too.

24: LB PATRICK QUEEN, LSU
A player everyone wants, at a position everyone wants, from a school everyone wants. Not much else to say.
88: G ROBERT HUNT, LOUISIANA-LAFAYETTE
Didn't just reach for a position of need and a local product. He can really play. Has flexibility between guard and right tackle. Reminds me of what Carl Nicks looked like coming out of college, without the incident he had. He's big and he can move. I feel like he can fit our scheme, because he has the tools to fit in any scheme.
130: TE ALBERT OKWUEGBUNAM, MISSOURI
A lot of people are going to be disappointed in the Saints if they don't have a wide receiver by this point. But the fact is, if they don't trade in from next year's picks, there's going to be at least one position of need they don't address. This simulation didn't allow trades. This guy, though he isn't a receiver, gives us another passing game option and an heir to Jared Cook.
169: CB LUQ BARCOO, SAN DIEGO STATE
I thought by this point there wouldn't be any corners I liked available, but I think Barcoo would be an awesome pick. He is very athletic and is a playmaker with great hands. He is tall and long, makes plays in the run game, and is an All-American. Perfect option to backup at outside corner and learn, hopefully becoming an option in case one of our starters proves too expensive. I expect him to go earlier than this. I can't believe nobody is talking about him. The only things he lacks are some bulk and experience. You can fix those. You can't teach traits.
203: S ALOHI GILMAN, NOTRE DAME
Didn't really want to draft a safety but I like him better than a bunch of the other guys who are limited athletes. I suspect he'll be one of the guys the Saints identify as someone who can help in the kicking game.

Good mock. I really we trade up into the 2nd and grab somebody we really want. Coming away with 2 good players would be an excellent draft with our current roster

Eason is going to go in the first. Either patriots or us.

I thought that early in the process, but I think he has a better shot falling to us in the 3rd then going in the 1st

I would switch 3 to Michael Porter Jr and 4 to Jake Fromm. We still need a #2 WR.

Michael Porter Jr? The forward that plays for the Nuggets or you mean Michael Pittman Jr? No way to Jake Fromm. I rather Jalen Hurts than him. We have upgraded the #2 spot with Emmanuel Sanders. We need a #3 and Joe Reed or Tre’Quan Smith will be good enough with other being the 4th. I think Deonte Harris is gonna be more involved in the offense and we still have Taysom Hill

Any chance you're going to release a 5.1 or 5.2?

Possibly ?
