Interesting: Payton tells Saints players NO virtual offseason program. Show up for camp in “shape of your life.” (1 Viewer)

Wow, I think that’s surprising and great. Well done, coach. The players better be working out or there will be hell to pay, for sure.

Isn't there some type of injury clause if you get hurt training outside of team facilities it may be a contract violation?

Interesting. I wonder if that means fewer rookies/longshots make the team than usual. Further, I wonder if that means they might use their limited draft capital to move up and grab a specific player, knowing that they're going more with who's already "in the building."

Much has been said about Sean Payton's character over the years. Goodell and his media monkeys have portrayed him as a villain. But this right here should tell you all you need to know about Sean Payton as a man. In a cut throat business where winning is the only thing that matters he has put his players' health above all else. He sees the bigger picture and I'm proud to have him as our coach.

Goodell will probably make them do the virtual workouts. As much as I love how SP did this to get back at Goodell , Im afraid Goodell will tell Al Riveron to take care of it when the Saints are on the playing field again this fall. Yeah this will only lead to another screwjob.

I would like to know how Payton had a meeting with "70-some players of ours" when there are only 69 under contract, even counting Hill.

when i was wrestling/cutting weight, i would put on my plastics and do a load of laundry and workout in the laundry room
maybe the players can move they w/d into their home gym
3 birds, 1 stone

I like your idea, I hope your right, trade everything we have for this year's draft, which ain't nothing, to go get the linebacker out Clemson

as much as anything he's evolved
the SP who's telling his players to take care of self and family is not the same hard*** coach that ran Millsaps TC
but i think both approaches were/are appropriate

A non-football related injury can get a team out of injury related contract stipulations, but usually for playing basketball or some of the things Drew Brees post on twitter.
