Must have vinyl (1 Viewer)

Kinda surprised by the lack of Public Enemy, Tribe called Quest, De La on your original set list

Anyway you seem to have pop/rock covered, but there seem to be some gaping soundtrack and symphonic holes, and those - like jazz - lend themselves to albums a bit more than a string of 4 minute songs

Amadeus soundtrack
Beethoven’s pastoral
most any Duke Ellington
Phillip Glass - Einstein on the Beach (admittedly an acquired taste, but excellent album set)
Stravinsky- Rite of Spring
Gorecki - 3rd symphony
Tous les Mantains du Monde soundtrack (it’s incredible - I think I spelled it right)
Bach - Brandenburg concerti
Brian Zeno - Different Trains
Cotton Club soundtrack
Blues Brothers soundtrack
Hamilton soundtrack
Hair soundtrack
Jesus Christ superstar soundtrack
West Side Story soundtrack
All that Jazz soundtrack

I have been collecting cd's and albums for around 45 years now....gotta have some Little Feat, Santana etc. I'm not even sure how may lp's I have...used to buy at least one every week when I would go to the music store. So many albums still stacked in my closet I haven't listened to in ages and all in great shape cause I never loaned any out. I think the first album I bought when I got my stereo was Layla and other love songs by Derek and the Dominoes.

I'll have to see how big the file is but either way I can burn Pink Floyd's The Darkside of The Moon Super Audio onto a dvd blank or blu-ray blank. Over the past several years people have finally cracked the Super Audio CD code. It only took over a decade to happen. But the file I have is a 5.1 flac file so if you have a 5.1 setup I can burn Darkside of The Moon in 5.1 Super Audio for anyone that would want it. All I'd want in return is the cost to mail it and like a dollar for the blank. Technically it can be put on a flash drive as well. I'm just throwing that out there.

For purposes of brevity I'll just recommend one per artist, but these are some I have that I would recommend...

Allman Brothers Band -- Live at Fillmore East
The Beatles -- Abbey Road
The Black Crowes -- The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion
David Bowie -- Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders From Mars
Eric Clapton -- Slow Hand
Bob Dylan -- Highway 61 Revisited
The Flying Burrito Brothers -- The Gilded Palace of Sin
Free -- Fire and Water
The Grateful Dead -- Workingman's Dead
Led Zeppelin -- IV
Lynyrd Skynyrd -- Lynyrd Skynyrd (Pronouced...)
Steve Miller Band -- Fly Like an Eagle
Otis Redding -- The Dock of the Bay
Pink Floyd -- Meddle
Rolling Stones -- Sticky Fingers
Soundgarden -- Superunknown
Sly and the Family Stone -- Stand
Velvet Underground -- Loaded
Widespread Panic -- 'Til The Medicine Takes

We would have made great roommates years ago. I might go Zeppelin II and Animals but otherwise, like exactly the same. Almost spooky.

Animals is their best album.

Agree, personally. Meddle is great, I get the appeal. It's got a pure quality about it. The songs are great and the sound is still slightly raw - more rock. But the next phase (the three pre-Wall) is just brilliant and if you're listening on vinyl, you gotta go with one of those three. I like Animals for just geeking out on the sound.

At worst Animals has their best song in Dogs.
