Jameis Winston receives package with his Saints gear (video) (1 Viewer)

How excited would YOU be, if YOU got to play on a REAL team, with REAL coaches, with REAL fans?
Like a 9 year old on Christmas morning!!
Just like when I was 9 in 1973, and I got my #8 Saints jersey, football pants, and helment.
Of course, I, was jumping up and down, and running through the house, when I put on my PRECIOUS Saints Helment!!!!
I was a "little" disappointed that JW didn't do the same.....
For you newbies, it was WAY COOL to wear #8 in the early seventies........
As a child I wore #8, as a grown man, I roll with #9......;)

Sorry it still looks and feel weird seeing that.
It sure does !LOL when he was chanting Who Dat!! .It sounded like he had a little flutter in his voice. Brought back those nightmares from last year playing against the saints LMAO!!! Just messing with you JW!! .Welcome to the saints !!!

Id say there is about a 20% chance sean payton can completely turn winston around and make him an elite QB and our qb of the future. In addition to this being awesome because we would have another franchise qb, the real payoff would be the salt from the other teams in the division .

Please let this happen.

keep your job, this the SP is the man in charge i would wheather have on my then him playing for someone else.

I'll tell you what man :::Gruden voice:::...

This guy was a former #1 overall pick for a reason. The talent has always been there and he has put up some great numbers over the years. Last year, he kind of fell off of a cliff with the interceptions obviously, but you can still see there is something in him.

I am hoping that by spending time with Coach Payton, and watching Brees operate for a year, it could help take his game to the next level, not to mention him getting the Lasik surgery and also dropping some weight. He can use some leadership training, which he will get by watching Brees, and needs to a bit more maturing, and hopefully him getting married can help on that front also.

I'll say this much, between Jameis and Taysom (who I think is a gem in his own right), the heir apparent is definitely in the building at this stage. I can't wait to watch these two players in training camp and in the preseason games.

I agree 100%. I think the Saints have the post-Brees era QB (I know, don't say that!) in the building and it cost the team exactly.....ZERO draft picks!

Agreed, but I'd put the chances at higher than 20%. It's not like Winston has always been garbage. Arians is probably the most overrated coach there is. Hell, Peyton Manning had one of his worst seasons under Arians. His vaunted system doesn't work with a pisspoor OL like Tampa's.

Took my wife to a family reunion in Louisiana when see was vegan about 12 years ago. She sent me to the grocery store to buy some veggies bc there wasn’t anything cooked that she could eat.

Smart lady. Most modern, non-grass fed meats are basically just slowly giving yourself cancer at this point. Stuff is not good for you at all.

Agreed again. I said it in the thread about Brady practicing early, but I honestly don't think he finishes the season with that OLine in the shape it is. As for Winston, I think his chances are also quite a bit higher than 20%. He has all the tools and traits of an elite QB, and I think sitting and/or watching a season from a different perspective will do him wonders. Especially when it's Brees and SP he's watching.

I used to despise Winston, but after seeing that, i cant really hate on him. He’s alright & i hope he does good w/us for as long as we have him. If Payton & Brees can help Jameis manage his BS, the meltdowns & on field suicidal tendencies, that dude can be an elite QB. But thats a big IF. Then again, Drew wasnt really Brees until he got w/Payton. & then there was Romo. Payton does have a way w/QBs & if they arent cutting it, he’ll cut his losses & move on from them.
