Directv Sunday Ticket (2 Viewers)

I was reading an article recently that said if you have a VPN, you can use a server like in Germany and sign-up for the full package. If I remember, it was only like $100. Anybody else know if this is legit? Thx

Edit- Just went and checked the net. It's interesting how the NFL prices Game Pass. In UK France and Ireland, it can cost between $159 and $269, and blackouts are not broadcast live. In India, it's only $99 for the year with no restrictions or blackouts. So it seems like using your VPN to enroll in Game Pass will give you everything including Redzone and NFL Network for $99.

For you techs, does that sound correct. If not, please advise. And another question for you techs. If I use a VPN server in India, will the network speed likely suck making it hard to watch the games clearly and in real speed? Thx again - d

I'm curious ... which VPN (brand) do you use? There are a ton of choices out there.

I use IPVanish for several years now and have had zero issues or lag time.

Playstation Vue is an option for streaming the NFL. FUBO as well.

Now if you wish to go the "underground" route, there is always those IPTV services that you pay a monthly subscription (some as low as $8 monthly) & never miss a NFL game. Most of these applications are used with either a gaming device (Nvidia shield/playstation) or a Amazon 4k Firestick.

I’ve been with Dtv for several years and didn’t get any notice that I’d get Sunday Ticket for free but I did get a few emails referencing free Sunday Ticket but they seemed kind of like spam, so i didn’t click them.

I live in Saints market and am a season ticket holder but really liked having ST for days when Saints were on bye or on the road. I like watching the NFL so I enjoy watching out of market games.

I’ve never paid for ST but was able to get it comp a few times over the years. Last few years I’ve just used online streaming services through Reddit and whatnot. Been very happy with them and thrilled to not have to pay the exorbitant ST charge.

I use both NordVPN and Macafee. I really like Nord. It's fast and servers are always open. However, just found-out that Nord does not have a server in India where Game Pass is the cheapest. Macafee has a scary fee model and if I don't watch usage it jumps to hourly ontop of the monthly fee.

Got run around from DTV rep about NFL Sunday Ticket. Aggravated, I redialed DTV and asked for retention. Vented to retention rep about NFL Sunday Ticket issue and was told my account was eligible for NFL ST Max at no charge. Was also told that DTV subscribers were getting a refund on movie and sports packages due to COVID pandemic. Not holding my breath for that to happen.

Directv sent me a letter back in February saying this year was going to be free Sunday Ticket. I have no idea how many people they are doing that for but I have had for 25 years or so.

I canceled directv earlier this year and I hope that company continues to crash and burn. Everything about it is horrible.....here’s to Sunday Ticket moving to Netflix or Amazon.

I did the usual yearly call to cancel and check on my contract status (which I knew ended in July ‘20) only to be told I wasn’t under contract, but after 3 different calls over the last week they did give me $50 off for 3 months because of COVID-19 and “the usual” offer on one call for “free HBO & HBOgo for 3 months” and on another call “free Showtime for 3 months.” Of course, as usual, after the three months are up they want my first born male child and a kidney😜!!!
NOTHING being offered on NFL Sunday Ticket “at this time.”
I will count myself lucky to not lose my job with all that is going on, but I did have to take a 25% pay cut. I was happy to do that because 75% of “something” is much better than a 100% of nothing and after Katrina I was just fired from a job I had for 30 years; 8 days away from being able to retire.
Those of you who actually GOT Sunday Ticket for free from DirecTV, what EXACTLY did you do? I know there are “other ways,” but I would like to keep this on the up and up. I will “go there” if I am forced to, but I will exhaust all other DirecTV options first.

Nothing

I called DTV Thursday and “complained” about the price I was paying for Internet, phones and data and DTV. They gave me faster internet for $10 less than I was paying, as well as took $60 off my bill/month for a year, and Sunday Ticket free.

Aak for the retention department. This year they just offered for free but I’ve been able to get it for free every year This year they just made it easier on me. Normally I have to wheel and deal with the retention department.

I just called retention and got nowhere. What the heck do you guys say to get it for free every year
