2021 LSU Recruiting Thread (1 Viewer)

Things are looking not bad for the good guys I hear...

LSU adds another one with connections to key recruits.

Zachary WR, Chris Hilton commits. He is one of two WRs that are at the top of LSU's list from Louisiana. This isn't unexpected, but still a big get. LSU currently has commitments from 3 WRs and all threaa are ranked Top 10 in the 247 composite rankings. Brian Thomas, the last target is ranked #2.

Here's a quick recap of the current class so far...

Orgeron continues marchjg towards his goal of a defense made completely of defensive linemen with the addition of DE Keanu Koht, right out of UFs backyard...

This is where e sincerity does wonders. A lot of coaches talk about how their job is their Ultimate dream and that isnt true. When CEO says it, it is absolutely the truth. Players are attracted to that sincerity and that the players are the #1 priority

All-Everything, consensus #1 QB Caleb Williams from the DMV chose OU over Maryland and LSU yesterday. He never got the chance to take an official visit to LSU. The commitment was not unexpected, although I secretly hoped to see him choose Maryland. Now he's going to probably win a Heisman before losing to an SEC team in the playoffs.

The new rumor is that LB Greg Penn III from the DMV is about to pop for LSU this weekend...

Sources at 247 have him for LSU...seems like it would be a huge surprise if he committed elsewhere

Now some rumors about OT Tristan Leigh, possibly as soon as today.

Three-star athlete Matthew Langlois (6-0, 190) New Roads (La.) Catholic of Pointe Coupee

Committed on October 26, 2020

A one-time commitment to Kansas State, Langlois landed offers from Notre Dame, Texas, and many others … Projected to play safety for the Tigers.

Five-star safety Sage Ryan (5-11, 195) Lafayette (La.) Lafayette Christian Academy

Picked LSU over Alabama after Clemson, Texas A&M, Texas, and many others had already been eliminated … Will provide immediate help in LSU’s secondary at nickel, corner or safety … One of the more dynamic players in Louisiana

Last Saturday, LSU landed a commitment from the nation’s No. 1 safety. Today, the Tigers hit it big again in the secondary, this time landing the No. 2 safety in the land in Derrick Davis Jr.

The pickup pushed LSU ahead of Oregon for the No. 3 spot in the 247Sports Composite Team Recruiting Rankings with the Tigers trailing only Alabama and Ohio State for the top two spots in order.
