Looks like authorities in Houston, are talking about reopening a field hospital, at a pro football stadium.

Just the beginning of the end to the upcoming football season folks.

I have been saying it for a few months now. This is far from over and will get worse. Until a vaccine is developed, we are in a very grave situation. Add in dumb people refuse to do the right things. (IE; mass gatherings, not wearing masks...etc.)

I think the season may still go on with teams bunched in certain cities.

Fans in attendance though? Highly unlikely.

But you're right. Nothing is going to get "back to normal" until there is a vaccine (assuming people will take it and they all haven't convinced them selves Bill Gates is out to get them:rolleyes:)

Let them play in San Antonio... Oh, wait. That's a hot spot too. I have a feeling that the NFL might not start up at all if we see any issues with the NBA, NHL, and MLB trying to start back up. You need a pretty darned big bubble to shelter an NFL team and staff.

If they sequestered the teams, which I don't see the players agreeing, San Antonio would work. There's massive hotel capacity empty. There are 4 major stadiums seating 30k to 100k within 70 miles. But if they are going to play with limited fans, Texas has unreal high school football stadiums, "Friday Nite Live." They could easily play all 16 weekly games within 50 miles at High School stadiums.

Texans love their football. 2x in the last 5 years, the schools voted to lay-off teachers so that the schools could afford new, state of the art turf for their football stadiums - lol - but true.

Personally, and I know very little but what I read like the rest of you. This virus is changing, or maybe just evolving rapidly. One comprehensive plan in August could be obsolete from changes in the virus by September.

Just move the NFL to New Zealand/Japan. It's probably the only option.

there are no vaccines for any covid. as testing rises the death toll is falling under 1%. the median death age is 81. theres no reason the mass of the population should be in quarantine, the people most susceptible should be in it. which is about 5-10% at most. cloth masks are like using a chain fence to stop mosquitoes. its absurd..

Countries are talking about banning travel from the US, that's how bad we look compared to other countries now.
They arent "talking about it", it's definitely a thing. Travel is starting back up but nobody outside of a few Carribbean nations and the Maldives are going to open up to Americans. I spend about 300 days a year outside the US, wishing I was a dual passport holder right now as it may be 2022 before we are able to leave the US

US passports arent worth what they used to be anyway, a US passport used to be hands down the best for visa free travel, now we have the 17th most "valuable" passport

If Texans had to play elsewhere no one would care. Before Watson, The Texans were probably one of the more irrelevant teams in the NFL.

Thanks for enlightening us, Doc.

I'll take the US Passport over the majority of those rated higher than us. When things hit the fan, the US Passport will jump into the top five very quick. I will probably get a valuable EU Passport in the next few years. No way am I giving up my US Passport.
