its the same as these crackpot governors saying wear a mask to get into a restaurant then take them off at your table. same as i have been seeing at the gym. once you're thru the door, off they go.. pointless

Its the same as "stay at home, especially, if you have co-morbidities....unless you work for the state, then go to work". But that is exactly what is happening. Gov JBE is telling people to stay home, especially if they are elderly and/or have the comorbidities, yet my state office I work in is open and I am required to be there even though I am obese and have high blood pressure. Things like that is what makes it hard to take this thing serious, the hypocrisy.

i dont have an issue with people that are high risk staying home, they should do the same as they would for a major flu outbreak, its the same people that would be affected. but to tell the majority to say home instead of the 10-15% high risk is a little absurd.. you dont quarantine the healthy, many doctors are on video saying we have never done this for more extreme outbreaks and its the exact opposite of what should be done.

I agree, but the point i am making is that is says my population should stay home, yet he is making me go to work.

And your first sentence is confusing. "You're a fan of masks but DO wear them?" Did you mean "I'm a fan of masks but don't wear them?" Otherwise, what's the 'but' about? If you're a fan of masks, it should be understood that you wear them. The 'but' leads one to believe you have an issue with the masks that has nothing to do with their actual stated purpose.

Except this is killing way more than the flu and isn't stopping in the summer. Also, there are many Americans with underlying issues that put them at an increased risk of dying diabetes, high blood pressure etc. Many of these who are still in the workforce. What do we do with them? Do we pay them to stay home? What about the people who don't have issues but live with people who do? You want me to just shove food under my granny's door? Or tell my 6 year old diabetic asthmatic daughter I can't play with her? Or do I get to stay home too and collect a check? Cuz that sounds awesome but my employer doesn't think so. Not to mention some of the healthy people that contracted this are facing continued complications. How are we gonna feel when this happens to a star player and they are no longer 100%?

I wish it were as simple as the compromised staying home but it's not an easy solution. I wish there were one. If only there was something that everybody could wear on their face that reduced the spread.... if only there was like some sort of measure people could take when they're out and about sociallyto make sure they aren't too close together...oh well
