Lol, I rarely check the SSF board during the offseason, but came here specifically to see if anyone had mentioned Drew’s new hair.. IMO there is no doubt that he;s had his hairline ‘enhanced’, just like Brady, and Urlacher, and McConaughey, and many many others... TBH i think it’s long overdue, he should have shaved that **** off years ago, or gotten the transplant already.. As a guy with thinning hair myself, I’ve looked into it but haven’t taken the plunge; then again , my lettuce isnt as far gone as Brees’, even though I’m older than he is.. But they can do absolute wonders with what’s called an “FUE hair transplant” (look it Up), and if one has the $$ and the downtime, both of which Mr Brees has in abundance- why the hell not?

I have it on good authority (like I've actually spoken to the person who DID his hair) - that he's had plugs for many, many years. This was way back when he was ashamed of his receding hairline so he grew it out. Clearly he's pretty freaking confident of his plugs now.

I like it. It's like when Shelby gets all her hair hacked off in Steel Magnolias. FOCUS.

Back in my early 20s I was nervous about following suit with the men on the paternal side of the family who substantively lost their hair by their late 20s that I actually looked into what this stuff would cost (ridiculous, I know). 10+ years later I'm still going fine, but, that anticipatory research has put me in good stead to identify when someone has had some work done.

I agree the photo suggests there is something going on up there. But look at his hair back when he issued that apology via Instagram - it was pretty thin up front. What was that? Seven weeks ago? My understanding is that this treatment takes time and there would usually be some evidence of it (e.g. shaved head following the plugs) unless it's a case of the fancy new treatment where they use body hair rather than hair from the back of the head? Alternatively, could it be possible he's just brought out a can of Toppik or whatever those hair thickening fibers are?

As an aside, I am staggered by the comment above that he has had plugs already. Surely there would be a more prominent hairline up front if that were the case (as the natural hair falls out behind it).

Can we talk about the new video? No, not the $5 million dollar donation. Let's talk about that refurbished Drew Brees hairline, people!

I don't hate it at all! Might even inspire a balding 40-something like myself to do the same. Makes him look 10 years younger and should give him another 3-4 years under center, I would think.

I don't quite know for certain, as my hairline is receding the same way his is. Once i let the person cutting my hair cut it the way they wanted to cut it (I wasn't paying attention and was lost in conversation) and they did that same junk Drew is sporting... they made a straight hairline about an inch back from where it would normally be and shaved the sides so that it isn't noticeable. Could be what's going on, hard to tell from that particular angle.

There’s video on his Instagram from March, before all the controversy, where he got his head shaved for charity.. since most people who get the FUE procedure get a buzz cut right beforehand, I’m guessing he saw that as a good time to undergo the procedure.. i actually think he didnt do it though until sometime in the last couple months, because after the controversy there are a couple of vids where it’s got the same old recession, then like a month or two ago the only pics of him are with hats on.. it generally takes a month or two to grow out to the point where it is on the video he released today.. Damn we examining this like it’s the Zapruder film, ha

Male pattern loss is inherited through the maternal line, on the X chromosome. But its generally not expressed in females to any signficant degree - but they y pass it on to their sons and daughters (who in turn, do not express and pass on to their sons and daughters, etc.). So the grandfather on your mothers side, and/or any uncles on that side may indicate your loss pattern. It could also come from the grandmother, but you would have to look at your great-grandfather and/or any great uncles and generally those are less likely to be alive so most people don't consider them.

There’s an element not being discussed yet. He has plans to be on TV. Could have been as early as this year. All makes sense.

Yeah he must have seen that bad toupee Jason Witten had his one year on Monday night Football and said to himself ‘There has to be a better way.’
