Nick, have you heard anything about WR Maurice Harris? He was a pretty good player a few short years ago for Washington, but has since faded. Is he expected to make a push for a roster spot or is he just another camp body at this point?

Nick,

Have you heard any discussion of teams instituting 'firewalls' to protect against the spread of Covid within a certain position group? I think it was Arians that mentioned the thought about keeping one QB isolated so that the entire room doesn't go down all at once.

Hey everyone,

With camps set to start soon I wanted to jump in come in here and do a Q&A with you guys to help set the stage for the season. I'll pop in and out of here throughout the week and answer as many questions as I can as time permits.

As always, I see and appreciate the support you all show to me. Anyone who wants to sign up to the site can do so with the code that I set up awhile ago for you all. Just use SAINTSREPORTCOM at checkout to save $10 on an annual plan.

With all the Clowney talk (which some seem to think isn't likely), what's your opinion on the current #3 DE Trey Hendrickson? Thanks.

Hey Nick, just wanted to say you are my favorite reporter I follow on Twitter. Your articles are great and show views of the saints I’ve never even thought of.

Anyways, for the first time in a very long time, I feel like the defense is equal if not better than the offense. Which do you think will be the better positional group?
With the addition of Sanders & Ruiz on offense, and the defense adding a key veteran leader in the secondary (which I think we have been missing) I feel like they are both capable of being a top 5 unit in the nfl.

Given your knowledge of "Tom Terrific," what is your estimate of how he and the Bucs will do this season? Should the Saints be worried?

Thanks, Nick. Keep up the good work! :9:

:gosaints:

I don't know if Brady is someone you win games because of at this point in his career. You saw it last year. He couldn't elevate his receivers, and while he was still accurate, I'm not sure he still had the god-level accuracy he's known for. You know what I'm talking about form watching Brees. He always puts the ball on the right shoulder to lead a guy away from a tackler and other things like that. Brady didn't have that last year. Tampa Bay has great receivers, so I'm sure they'll help him and the offense should be pretty good. But I'm not sure I'd be scared of them.

I covered him last summer. I thought he had a pretty good shot of making that team until he he hurt his ankle during training camp. I don't know if he'll make the team here, but he provides a pretty high level of competition.

I haven't, but Payton is pretty smart. He's one of the coaches I'd want leading my team during a crisis like this. I'm sure he'll figure out how to put the team in the best position to succeed.

I hope the support to your new website endeavor has been successful, Nick. Hopefully you have enough subscribers to continue to do what you love and at a comfortable pace.

Thanks. So far, so good considering what's going on in the world. My hope is that people keep signing up so I can do this forever.

I'm not sure I'm there yet on the defense being better than the offense. I think they have the potential, but I have injury concerns about four projected starters (Rankins, Davenport, Alonso and Anzalone). The defense will be really good if all of those guys remain healthy. A few of those things go the wrong way and the Saints will find out more about their depth than they'd like to know.

For what's it worth, I've been told Rankins, Alonso and Anzalone should be good to go for camp. I've gotten positive reports on Davenport's recovery from his foot injury. However, I haven't gotten a concrete answer on if he is ready to go or not.

Played good against Minnesota. He's serviceable. I think you'd like to have a little more firepower in that spot considering Davenport's injury history. Another body on the line would be a good thing even if everyone stays healthy. Cutting down Cam Jordan's snaps wouldn't be a terrible thing if you're giving him periodic rests for a high-level player.

Appreciate the response. You’re the man Nick, keep doing what you’re doing. #whodat

Hey, Nick, thanks for dropping by. Very informative as always. Don't be a stranger. Best of luck with your new venture. I am glad that you more than exceeded my expectations and I have very much enjoyed my membership. Again, don't be a stranger if you have some free time as the season progresses.

Hey Nick, do we have any interest in guys like Everson Griffin or any additional corners? Or do we go with the guys we have in camp?
