This is the third time the sink has gurgled and backed up on is in the last 2-3 weeks. It is nuts. Landlords guy has been here 3 times to fix it. Hope this time is the charm. This condo complex is young enough that you'd think it would have massive problems.... unless poorly designed plumbing....

My wife is going to kill me, and it isnt even my fault. Lol

Clogged vent stack? Kitchen sink or bathroom?

I'm no plumber; have had to deal with this before, but in a single-family residence. Does your A/C system drain into your sink plumbing?

Kitchen sink.

A/C drain is separate.

Landlord has a guy who does A/C, appliances, and plumbing, this is his third time out, but the second time, it seems to have fixed its self.

He is currently snaking the waste stack.

Proper venting of drains is crucial. Sounds like the maintence guy is on the right track. BTW, I am not a plumber, but I do know that much.

Need to get to at least 50% plumber before we can start diagnosing this....

Has the maintenance guy checked your drain for psychotic murdering clowns? Because I hear that they can cause drainage issues

Agreed. Had a shower drain in one of our homes that continually failed to drain. Had 2 plumbers tell us that they had to tunnel under the house to check for busted pipes. The one we brought in for a third opinion said "let me check the stack before doing anything extreme" 20 minutes and just $150.00 later things worked great.

Not saying that's the issue in your case, but let's hope so. Best of luck with the diagnosis and solution.

He got out the commercial snake this time. Big daddy. Seems to be working great.

I put a Sani Stick down the sink in the bathroom-attached-to-the-bedroom (politically correct :D ) It seems to have helped after reaming it with one of those plastic thingies with the little barbs. You put a Sani Stick down the drain once a month. I'll see if it eliminates the gurgle. So far, so good after a couple of weeks.
