Just about every single loss in the first 20 years.
[Ummm, define "entertaining".]

To me, this one tops the list.
I would probably select one of the 49er games when Mora was coaching. We would usually beat them up physically the whole game then at the end they would still find a way and kick a FG to win it. I can remember being so excited that we knocked their arse all over the dome. Only to realize that all that physicality didn’t win us the game so nobody cared. What do you all think was most entertaining game that the Saints lost?
Recently the Niners game in the 2019 season.
I also think the 2008 week 17 game vs the Panthers is up there. The 2008 Broncos loss is another good one.
To me, it was the 2006 loss at Pittsburgh.
It was wonderful to watch the Dome Patrol defense and awful to watch the offense. The only interesting thing about the offense was finding out if they would get any first downs before punting. Usually not.I would probably select one of the 49er games when Mora was coaching. That was the game where Junior Galette was horse collared around the neck by the Pats tackle on the last second TD pass from Brady. That should have been called back for offensive holding, but no call. That was the Saints' first loss of the season.at Pats in 2013 after Brees threw the TD hail Mary to Stills
The game where Bush should've had 3 punt return TD's against Minnesota.
The SF playoff game in 2011. I was there at Candlestick and I never felt such highs and lows in such a short time. We were getting blown out with 5 turnovers on offense but we jut kept coming. Couldn't believe we came all the way back and basically won the game if it weren't for another playoff implosion.
I like the game because it was one of the best offenses of all time vs one of the best defenses we had seen in awhile. That 49er defense was loaded.

Yes that Carl Smith Offense which was run, run, pass, punt! It was so easy for opponents defenses to game plan us because of how predictable we were. We had some killer battles with them. I’ll never forget when we went like 13-3 and lost the West because the whiners went 14-2. Man, that was our luck back then. I do remember knocking Steve Young out and that guy Bono came in. I could be wrong but I think that was the game that something burning came down from the roof or somewhere and landed on the field. The wild, Wild West.It was wonderful to watch the Dome Patrol defense and awful to watch the offense. The only interesting thing about the offense was finding out if they would get any first downs before punting. Usually not.
I think that’s the year we only had to win one game of the final 3 to get in and they refused to put Delhomme in no matter how bad Brooks was doing. Brooks could throw a backward pass even though he was trying to throw it forward. I’m sorry if that’s not the year you meant but I think it was.Washington Redskins at New Orleans Saints - December 30th, 2001 | Pro-Football-Reference.com

One of the most pitiful performances in a loss. Week 16 in 2001 vs the Redskins. Saints come out with a 10-0 lead and lose 10-40. In a 5 offensive play stretch, Brooks has 3 interceptions and 1 fumble.
They went on to lose 38-0 to close out the season.
Nope. That was the following season in 2002. Started off 9-4. Swept the Bucs. Win out for the #1 seed. And the last pass attempt to midfield was a miscommunication between he and Moore and it would have resulted in about a 17 yard gain and broke the record.

We lost to 2 absolute dreadful teams in week 16 and 17. Bengals and Panthers.
2001 we were 7-5. Lost out.
