Most entertaining game that the Saints lost? (1 Viewer)

49ers playoff game where Roman Harper forgot how to guard a TE.

The SF playoff game in 2011. I was there at Candlestick and I never felt such highs and lows in such a short time. We were getting blown out with 5 turnovers on offense but we jut kept coming. Couldn't believe we came all the way back and basically won the game if it weren't for another playoff implosion.

I like the game because it was one of the best offenses of all time vs one of the best defenses we had seen in awhile. That 49er defense was loaded.

This game. I was there also. That Saints team would have won it all. Crushing even more because it was the 49ers.

I'm still angry about that game. They full nelson-ed Junior Galette on the game-ending TD pass. Too bad the refs were Helen Keller, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Phil McKinnely, and Gary Cavaletto.
And to make matters worse, Kuechly nelson-ed Gronk a few weeks later on Monday Night Football. The flag was thrown and inexplicably picked up. The Panthers finished ahead of us by one game.

It's difficult for me to answer, I'm always so nervous for every game, on pins and needles, can't say I've ever been entertained by a loss...

Saints vs Niners 2001 was a fun one. Brooks 347 yards 2 TDs, Ricky Williams 121 yards, Willie Jackson 11 - 167 yards.

But lost 28-27.
I remember that, and one of the more entertaining games that year. Not sure it's in the top 10 all time, though.

Among all the memorable heartbreakers in team history, that loss in the 2011 Divisional Playoff Game against the Niners takes the cake. It’s what was at stake — Drew’s second ring — that still makes it hurt the most.

And with that Super Bowl- our offense would be remembered as the best in history imo. That offense (as is) is already in the conversation, but a cherry on top would have done it.

I don't think "entertaining" fits but the 2011 (best Saints team ever till this year) playoff loss to SF... 5 fumbles...lost Pierre early in the game.... still we fight back and the lead changes 3 times in 2.5 minutes or so

Until the no-call that was my most devastating loss to endure... And I have endured a lot since 1967

2010 Week 15 vs. Baltimore. Lance had an insane TD catch in the 4th quarter to tie things up but they couldn't stop Ray Rice. :covri: He had 153 yards!!!

I'm never entertained by a Saints loss. lol It's only a good game if we win :)
