***TROPICAL ALERT*** Hurricane Sally (Tropical systems are going into 2020 mode) (2 Viewers)

It rained here (Gretna area) for several minutes starting about 20 minutes ago. It was a substantial rain, if not torrential.

Its steady but I wouldn’t call it torrential. It’s that nice breezy quiet storm rain. I love this weather.

A broker friend of mine just sent me pics- he has place on Inarerity Point- ( just north of Perdido ) his dock is slowly disappearing.

but his friend has place on Ono Island ( old river side ) and left his boat in lift ( said its a brand new Grady White ) ....yeah thats about to be a loss

What happens if we run out of the Greek alphabet storm names?

I left Ole River Sunday and the water was already to the underside of our dock. I don't think we'll get a surge like Ivan, he might be OK. If not, his boat should wash up in his or his neighbor's yard 😀

Two separate insurance claims.

Lmao, well played.

And yep, flood and wind are 2 distinctly different things, and the source of a hell of a lot of legal fights between customers and insurance companies over what was considered a covered loss.

I know because after Rita, I was helping an attorney edit and prep the court documents for those suits. There were so many of them. And the claims...man, you couldn't help but laugh at some of the claims made by both defendants and plaintiffs. Definitely an eye opening experience.
