What happened with MT??? (1 Viewer)

Honestly, I’m not so sure it’s a big deal. The saints are 100% right to set the tone. Also CGM is right to set a tone against a 2nd year player as well. I love Mikes compete, his absolute desire and passion to be the best. Man sometimes you walk that line and it can get fiery. We all go over it sometimes.

he’s hungry to get back and to me seems like he’s got a lot on his mind that he needs to prove. Like he let his team down. Love the fire. Also love the Saints handling it.

things going to be a okay I have a feeling.

From what I'm reading in tweets dating back to last year this was their 3rd altercation. You eventually reach a boiling point.

Also, he probably feels he's ready to play and we kept holding him out. Any little thing will set you off. I see this as 'nothing to see here'. We'll move on.
Tweets from who? Can’t say that I’ve heard anything about any other altercations between the two. Was the tweets from their own personal Twitter accounts?

I’d guess they were probably still on the fence about playing him, and this helped make the decision. Sends him a message to get it together and lets him heal up a little longer.

I posted this in another thread but I think it works here too....this is how it all went down:

I don’t disagree that this is something you have to keep an eye on but I think it just happens with guys all wanting to be the beat at what they do and getting after it every down. I am mostly just impressed with CGJ and his grit - not afraid to bring it to absolutely anyone. Still kind of chuckle at Brady amd his “Effort U 22”

This is a situation to keep an eye on IMO... Michael Thomas comes across as a very cocky and arrogant player. Hopefully he doesn’t melt-down, and accepts his suspension and moves forward.

I’d also encourage people to read his article on it. There are a couple more details which likely explain why this one rose to the level of being suspended.

If it happens on the field and connected to play it’s not god bit better than in the locker room where it would be a personal issue

He gets paid top dollar and that being said, he is a leader. He needs to take the high road.
