Keep hearing reports that Joe Brady will be the youngest head coach ever next year when someone snatches him from Carolina.

I really hope Sean Payton's relationship with him is good enough to maybe sway him from taking the falcons job and being some weird NFC south %^&*($

So what if the Falcons do hire Brady. People have him labeled as the next greatest thing and I just don't see it. There's a reason why he's no longer with the Saints and I seriously doubt that when he parted ways with the Saints that he had Sean Payton's unwavering endorsement.

People said the same thing about Sean McVea in LA and as it turns out he's very human and mortal. You have to have the skins on the wall to be feared as an NFL head coach and he hasn't earned that yet.

Longevity is what measures first time head coaches (see Sean Payton) and not a flash in the pan couple of years of success so even if he is hired by the Falcons he's going to have to earn it.

It’s not likely that Brady is ready to be a successful NFL head coach. I say go for it Falcons.

After watching what he did for LSU, and looking at them now...

And seeing Carolina's offense look pretty good without CM...

I dunno. I think he is legit.

It’s possible but I don’t see that happening in my opinion. To be fair LSU’s offense is fine given all of the weapons and experience they lost. Their defense is the group that is out of wack at the moment. With a typical LSU defense they’d be undefeated right now.

He’s like 4 or 5 years younger than Matt Ryan hahaha

Yeah he’ll do fine. No need to worry about inventing classes 😏

Because they are friends means that he can’t take the falcons HC job? You people take these rivalries way too far....

I've heard plenty of times where assistants don't go and coach for division rivals out of respect or friendship. Doesn't seem crazy.

LSUs issues are on the defensive side of the ball, not really on offense. Not to say that the offense has been perfect. But the drop-off isn't that significant.

I think Brady is an excellent offensive mind. I just don't think he's ready to be a head coach. If I were an NFL owner, I would want to see if he can have consistent success as an OC first. I would wait another year or two, minimum.

Which instances? At the end of a day it’s a career opportunity that comes around to only a select few. Unless the organization is a complete dumpster fire I don’t believe anyone would turn down a chance to advance his career. Besides Payton didn’t know Brady that well or that long.

So 3/4 teams in the NFC SOUTH will run our offense?

That’s just ridiculous. We need to hire Joe Brady as OC with HC lined up when Payton leaves.
