Going to Atl Dec 6th. Tix are cheap , so are flights. Is there a good hotel that usually has Saints fans? Preferably walking to their dome. Hotels. Com shows tons of places so I’m trying to decide what’s best.

What's your budget?
Rooms aren't as bad as they used to be right now due to Covid.

I was looking at the omni hotel which is usually ridiculous and it was $144/night which is cheap compared to the 200-300/night rates you'll usually find in downtown.

I'm not a huge fan of walking anywhere downtown, especially since the murder rate jumped 90% since May. I typically Uber everywhere when hanging out downtown. Everything is so sprawled out, makes you really appreciate how New Orleans is laid out.

Also, where are you finding cheap seats?
I just looked on NFL ticket exchange and they want almost $200/ticket for nosebleed.

The Marriot Marquis has the world's largest indoor atrium. It's pretty cool. Long walk to dome through the Olympic park. Most downtown restaurants are bad, but the White Oak restaurant across the street is very good.

Yeah for food, I'm going to Midtown.
Park Tavern isn't bad for drinks and food before the game, it's pretty close to the dome.

Omni is a really nice hotel.......and is definitely walking distance. In fact, it's the closest hotel to the stadium.

We stayed at the Embassy Suites near Olympic Park for the Thursday night game a couple of years ago. You know, the one where Kamara got targeted. It's right across the street from the College Football HOF. It is a block away from the Omni that is mentioned in this thread. It also has a Ruth's Chris in the lobby. There's also a decent deli included in the same building. I cannot comment on the current state of downtown ATL.
Best of luck to you.

When I worked for coke and would travel to Atlanta this is where I stayed. Nice enough and I'm a fan of ruth's chris so it all worked out. Cnn building had a decent sports bar in it too but probably all closed down now

Was this Jocks and Jill's? If so it's something else now. The Taco Mac there is/was awful.

I don't mean for this to turn political in any way, just stating what has transpired here recently.
After the damage during protest and due to Covid the CNN center is currently being sold.
The college football hall of fame was damaged as well, so I'm not sure if they've reopened yet.
Haven't been since all of that transpired so I'm not sure what's still open.

I was told there was a big cleanup effort so I would imagine everything is back up and running, but I don't know for sure.

Bars and Restaurants should be open. Lots to choose from, especially in the midtown area.

We are looking at going to Atlanta as well since Nola is a joke right now for fan attendance. Lets take over our second home stadium!

Atlanta also has restricted fans to minimum and the Chick-Fil-A’s not open on Sunday in the sphincter . Watch out for Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms speed traps in the city too. Just FYI
