Over a hundred years after his death and things aren’t looking much better for Nikola Tesla as both of the companies carrying his name are facing serious problems. No peace in death much as there was none in life for this poor man.

I wonder what happens to Tesla’s stock after this. Any Tesla owners in the forum?

I’m not an expert. I can only go by my own amateur observations. It worries me that the company has a market value 5x of Ford and GM combined, yet I don’t know anyone who owns a Tesla and I don’t know anyone who wants a Tesla.

😬

That news came out yesterday during trading hours and it didn’t affect TSLA yet. It was down 1%+ but other EV stocks were down as well.

I feel bad for Elon Musk, but he will probably be o.k..

Personally, I think the Tesla car company is not named properly. Nikola Tesla was probably the best engineer in the 20th century, while Elon Musk seems a little puffed up.

If I had to choose the top engineer in the 21st century, it would be Dean Kaymen hands down. This guy has done way more for mankind in my opinion.

I guess it remains to be seen if this is an issue specific to the Chinese manufactured models or those made in the US as well.

People have been cheering for Musk's fall for quite some time but he always seems to come back stronger.

This market makes absolutely 0 sense. When Tesla has a value greater than Toyota, Mercedes, VW, and GM combined things are officially kookie dukes, and it isn’t just Tesla, Penn, Hertz, and DK are also suspiciously high for no other reason than people want to invest in something (whether it is profitable or not).

I can’t imagine this won’t hurt Tesla eventually if they do have to restate, but who can tell if it actually will.

It won't hurt him personally. He's making that sweet government money for SpaceX, anyway. :hihi:
