If early big lead Sunday.. (1 Viewer)

I think it's good to be optimistic and besides the Falcons, I hate the 9ers more than anyone. Joe Montana can burn in hell for standing in our way.

52-3 Saints.

There's a huge difference in being optimistic that we can win the game vs having unrealistic expectations. That's all I'm saying.

Should Winston play the entire 2nd half if we are up 30+ points? I know Drew probably would like to be in the game, but I think we need to see how Winston does.

Right now Taysom is an actual part of the game plan and is hopefully going to continue where he left off last week into the playoffs and the Super Bowl. Satisfying our curiosity about Winston seems less important at this point. If there is time to relieve Drew then giving the active contributor the game experience seems like a better choice. Letting Taysom throw a few dozen balls over the next few games will slow the game down for him and help him find a rhythm with the receiving corp. Winston is catastrophic health insurance. In Drew's many years at QB it has only been needed once.

Letting Winston end the game in Tampa was a situational courtesy not really a developmental or demonstration exercise.

If this was preseason yeah but this is the regular season. If a big lead Winston would probably play in the 4th quarter not a whole half

Touch the Brakes. The last thing we need is any breaks.

Sigmund sends his regards.

The point obviously went right over your head. Yes, the team needs to keep the pedal to the metal, but let’s not expect to go and jump up 30 points on every team we play from here on out. Pump the breaks on expectations. Geez.

You don't risk losing Drew for the season for a record he won't have anyways if he retires and Brady plays again. Hell, Mahomes will likely pass both of them at some point if he stays healthy.

To me you rest Drew every chance we get. We will need all hands on deck come playoff time and if we can take some throws off of his shoulder then do it. It would be silly not to. Unlike most teams, the Saints are Superbowl or bust. Especially after the way the past 3 seasons ended.

NO! Up by 60 in first half, I still wouldn't pull Drew until into the 4th. 30 points can be caught up quick with 2 big homerun plays, 2 bad INTS and quick 3 and outs with short fields. Nope.
So are we up 60 or 30?🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️

I'm just mess'n with ya. You've confused Brake with Break.

If Drew goes down Winston takes the field and Taysom Hill will not start at quarterback in his absence unless Winston has a stroke. Taysom has a very important role on this team and he can continue to play it and make it easier for Winston to fill in were Drew to go down.

Take it to the bank.

If we’re up by 30 at halftime . DENNIS ALLEN AND THE DEFENSE have finally got it understand and you can book your ticket . Remember preseason everyone thought this Defense would be lights out might just be coming to realization

I think this is counting chickens before they hatch. Let's not take San Fran for granted. Score first, then see.
But I am not on the team, so it doesn’t effect anything if I take SF for granted. So I’m sticking with 55-27. On second thought, maybe we WON’T miss an extra point, make that 56-27.
