The consecutive game streak without 100 yd runner is ending. I've seen enough football to know that as soon as the media talks about it, it ends. "This kicker hasn't missed in 32 tries", Shank!

Against Atlanta?

Old man Gurley gonna regrow his knee?

I know it's outside the 10 year period, but the 2000 Ravens D allowed only 2.68 yard per carry. That defense was so awesome.

The media was talking about this also last year and still we didn’t let one happen

The all time record is 59 by the 1956 Browns. The modern record is 53 By the Reggie White/ Jerome Brown Eagles in 1992.
We are currently at 53 games/ If the record falls next week, we are still in elite company.

2014 Detroit 3.17 ypc allowed ?

Jim Caldwell had those boys balling like that ?
Yea... From the perspective of who else is on the list, this is underwhelming. Interesting that it's underwhelming though.

those Eagle defenses were the only thing close to the Saints Defense during that time. It was usually them #1 and us 2 or visa versa. Not to take anything away from what our guys are doing now but it isn't quit the same. Most backs didn't split time back then and way more offenses were 2/3 run to 1/3 pass. What our guys have done the last few years is outstanding nonetheless.

Could it be possible ... the coordinator of this ferocious defense ... Dennis Allen ... gets a head coaching job based on these merits?

The thread title is wrong "the past ten seasons " when that list has 2 teams for the same year multiple times

I don't see it. Not even close.

But if we go on to win the Super Bowl and it has a lot to do with the defense, then yes.
