What’s your must obscure, random Saints fact? (2 Viewers)

While attending the NFC Championship game against the Rams our family saw the blatant no-call. I held my 10yr old son in my lap after the game as big alligator tears fell because he kept saying "it isn't fair dad". He was right....it was a lesson and teaching moment.

There's been a 6-game winning streak in the last 4 seasons!
I wonder if that's an NFL record. I bet it is.

We also had a 3 year streak from 09-11 of 6 wins in a row.

So that's 7 times in the past 12 seasons. Pretty incredible.

We were robbed of another when we should have started the 2013 season 6-0 but the New England game happened.

The final 3 games of 2002, where we just needed 1 win out of 3 games against losing teams to make the playoffs, and whiffed on all of them is the most brutal, soul-crushing stretch of football in my lifetime as a Saints fan (not individual moment/game, the 83 season finale or the 2018 NFCCG or Carney's missed PAT after the River City Relay would top that list).

After that I incident went outside, grabbed the Saints flag attached to the front of my house, and hurled it into the park next door like a javelin. I would sheepishly retrieve it later because no one stole it, much to my dismay :hihi:

The only ostrich racing @ halftime.

In a preseason game against CIN(the year Boomer modeled underwear); the fans were called for a delay of game penalty, for the 1st time ever. The game was stopped numerous times as the dome went nuts! I was on the 45, 5 rows behind the CIN bench, we were unmerciful talking smack to Boomer.

The 2 Hillgenberger brothers playing center on the same team (both former Pro-Bowlers).
I remember stopping the game in Tulane Stadium.. If I am not mistaken it was against Philadelphia.... Those bleachers in TS could make some noise

Mine was 1983 when we gave up a 4th and forever against the Rams in the last game of the season. Lansford kicks the game winner with no time left.

That was 1983. We won our last game in 1978 to finish 7-9. I remember the game you're speaking of quite well. That individual game was indeed extremely brutal, but it was one game. The end of 2002 was that same feeling stretched out over 3 @$@ing weeks.

And if I recall correctly there was 44 seconds left in the game when we took over on downs prompting one of my favorite Jim Henderson calls

The Saints take over and it would APPEAR that the Saints are going to win the SB

Indy has no time outs. 14 point lead. We have the ball. And it APPEARS we are going to win

Only a Saints fan can understand

Sounds like something the Falcon announcers need to start saying

Yep. We all fear having to either show or tell our kids how and why the world works the way it does.

(I'm a new dad, as of this past July; reason this resonates with me now ;) )
