Just wanted to ask about how Alvin was used in that past game. I really expected to see a lot of RPO as well as play action passes to Kamara on the option. I think Taysom did fantastic with the play calling, a few poor plays but all in all what an amazing performance. I do believe that the couple of bad drives could have been mitigated with getting alvin the ball in space.

Wanted to see if anyone with a better understanding than me could explain his usage. The lack of screen to him as well really stood out.

Notice the screen to Murray went for a big gain. That was a genius call.

The fake toss to Kamara drew so many people that it opened up huge gaps and we hit Thomas on that 23 yard pass play. So he's a huge part of the offense even when his name isn't called.

He only showed up Friday as a full participant in practice. He will get a few designed pass plays this week against the Broncos.

If Michael Thomas went another week without having a major contribution he would have been pretty upset. Have to get him a few touchdowns soon. Defensive coordinators are scrambling now to come up with ways to stop this new offense. They’re going to miss on some of the things we did with Drew as the starter. That’s when we’ll hit them. And when Sean breaks out his 2011 playbook with downfield passes and hitting receivers in stride down the sideline for long gains watch out! If they have to play the deep pass and Kamara, and Taysom! It’ll be ridiculous.

The simple answer is that Kamara is often the 3rd or 4th read. Hill is a newer QB who will struggle to read the field that quickly like Brees does.

Hill also stared down Thomas a lot. That’s a tendency he will have to break and Kamara will get more use. I don’t think Kamara is doing anything differently.

Atlanta was completely sold out to stop Kamara. A good reason why the wildcat wasn’t working. He was effective as a decoy. Denver may play him the same way. It’s pick your poison with the Saints. Can’t stop everyone.

I think SP's game plan was to show them what they were expecting based on Hill's previous snaps/years behind center, but then to do something very different. The good ole bait and switch was on point bc we had played it safe will Hill most of his previous snaps this year.

Screens and quick pitches go to Kamara... until they don't. Hill does the RPO with Kamara, not hand it to Murray up the gut and drop back over 50% of the time. Thomas runs quick slants off the line as a safety net for an inexperienced QB, not 15-20 yard ins that take time to develop. Hill plays it safe, not thrown HIGH bombs downfield. The whole playbook was open, but it was different. I loved it.

Kamara did not have a single catch in the game, breaking his streak of having caught at least one pass in his first 54 career games, according to the broadcasters after the game.

Kamara has had such a massive load this season that he is in serious MVP talks. Once SP saw how the game was unfolding, I’m sure he wanted to give Kamara’s body a lighter load. We need everyone ready for a late season push.

We tried throwing screens to him a couple times but Atlanta sniffed them out. I think their game plan was to not let Kamara get going. They were all over him just about anytime he was in the game.

It definitely seemed like the falcons plan was to make Taysom beat them with his arm. They were all over AK like they expected him to be a huge part of the gameplan. The problem was that SP knew they would think that.

I noticed when he had time in the pocket, he wasn't checking for Kamara or safety net third read as his internal pocket clock winded down. Something Drew does instinctively.
