One hand was all C.J. Gardner-Johnson needed.
One hand to take down San Francisco quarterback Nick Mullens – 6-foot-1, 210-pound Nick Mullens – for a 6-yard loss in the New Orleans Saints' 27-13 victory Nov. 15.
"One finger," Gardner-Johnson said, with a smile.
He's probably right, because he has been right about a lot of things lately. And that has made the Saints' defense be as right as any in the NFL the last several weeks, which has helped New Orleans to climb to No. 1 in the league (284.9 yards per game allowed) entering Sunday's game against Atlanta at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

Not sure, "playing at a high level" does him justice. He's on another level when he gets dialed in and he might be the best defensive swiss army knife in the NFL, IMHO. He still has some occasional coverage issues he's gotta get a handle on, but man, he brings so much energy.

I think he's our honey badger.

Not only is this dude playing at a high level, he’s messing with opposing players’ “mentals,” as Marshawn Lynch would say. That is invaluable. If he were playing for an opposing team, I would HATE him at a molecular level. But he’s on our side. Keep it up, Ceedy! You’re a big part of the best defense in the league. 😁

Ryan is still losing sleep wondering where CGM is coming from this week.

He's like a younger and safety version of Steve Smith

Ok after I read the posts here and even commented, I decided to read the article and it was a good one. From 31 points a game in our first three to 8 points in the last 4. Amazing, I couldn’t help but smile and laugh to myself it was so pleasing.

We really have some nasty, versatile players in the middle level of the D. Kwon, DD and CJGJ can all flash and hit quickly and violently the moment they diagnose and get downhill.

Very thankful to have all of them.

I think if this defense stays healthy for the playoffs we win the championship. We are hitting all levels starting up front. Kwon has brought some extra energy and Malcolm Brown has made some nice plays. The backfield has really shored up and allowed the front to benefit with its pressure. They are truly having fun out there. Reminds me of when Kamara and Ingram were having their fun.
