Happy New Year to All.
I would like to get king cake shipped. Which bakers in New Orleans have the better king cakes? Hopefully they will ship as well.

No longer at the Mortuary, it's now at the (unfortunately closed down because COVID killed watching movies in a crowded theater ) Broad Street Theatre location.

Thanks for the link Madmarsha. This is helpful.
You're welcome. I'm still waiting to get one of those Dong Phuong cakes which everyone says is the best, but I guess I'll have to go mail order myself.

This is my local place and are my favorite because of all the different cream cheese filled flavors; but we'll just go pick up, though, they do ship, too, of course.

Paul’s has been my favorite for a long time. I can’t eat much of it because of my diabetes but I’ll sneak in a cheat here and there.

It actually might be called Sweet Savors. I need to ask my brother because he would know but Sweet Savors is on Elysian Fields and I think that's where the place is. Looking at a picture of one and I'm almost 100 percent positive that the place I'm thinking of is called Sweet Savors. The best king cake I've ever had and it's not even the filled ones which I normally prefer.

I challenge anyone to try a Sweet Savors king cake and not think it's at least top 5. I even eat the part that might not have icing on it because the "cake" part is moist and tasty. Frosting is excellent. My brother gave me some one time and then later that night asked for a sliver and I said no. He was mad at me. That king cake is serious.

With a quick search, it looks like the bakery is closed?
