Saints must figure out a way to draft Mac Jones (1 Viewer)

Good call. You could add SweetT as well. And the Saints scouting team.
The same scouting team who whiffed on Allen Robinson and Davante Adams the year before making the Thomas pick even necessary in the first place? Lol.

Don't forget they traded up for Cooks when I was all for just staying at #27 and double-dipping at wr in 2014.

Oh and dont forget the whiffs on Claypool and Metcalf. :haha-rire-395:

If you thought they had a bad draft 2016 you should see how they bungled the 2017 draft. Woof. Maybe they'll hire you

Nope, I called that. Not trying to gloat, but MT had NFL caliber skills in college. Some guys get away with speed and talent in college. I saw MT using technique that was more refined than 90% of college players.
Against who though?

He faced nobody.

And if they'd only done the sensible thing in 2014 and taken 2 wideouts as I suggested instead of Stanley Jean-Baptiste then Thomas would never have been necessary.

Never forget they passed on Allen Robinson for SJB.

But have you seen his college stats tho?
College stats doesn’t determine whether a player will be good/great or not. Look at Josh Jacobs’ stats in college. Didn’t really do much, but the world could see that he was an elite talent.

I know. Putting a lot of weight on college stats are not something scouts do.

They might as well have gotten something in return for bombing the entire 14' draft right?

Albeit 3 years later.

I can see it now all the people on this threat that are saying pass on Jones he wouldnt fit the saints offense would be the same ones to cheer and love him if the Saints did draft him and if he were to be successful and to become our future QB lol

I didn’t make my assessment on who MT played against. I watched his footwork and technique while he was playing. A WR with that kind of movement, while lacking top speed, could be a chain mover in the NFL. I knew he would be perfect in our system, but I honestly didn’t think we were going to draft him. However, I was extremely happy that we did. I’m confused. Is this a Mac Jones thread? I’m on the fence about him. With that being said, I wouldn’t mind if we drafted him. Whether he plays with the best players, he seems to have an “it” factor, but that could be just extreme confidence from playing alongside the best players . So who the heck knows!?!? I want Harris to play with AK41!!!!

?
What fan would not do that? I’ve been wrong on plenty of players but lever have I not cheered for our players to do well. There have been many players I’ve not liked over the years but I always pull for them to do well while with our team.
