Saints must figure out a way to draft Mac Jones (1 Viewer)

Claypool, Metcalf, Adams, Robinson.

And again, MT wouldn't have been necessary had they never made that stupid trade for Cooks in the first place and passed on Allen Robinson for Baptiste.

MT is better than Robinson

I think these consensus first and second round talents are gonna be good players
Better than a trade up for Cooks which wasted draft capital necessitating wasting more capital on another wr in rounds two and 3 years later :ROFLMAO:  .

Pretty cool that Claypool even topped MTs career highs in TDs as a 3rd string rotational rookie too.

Drew Brees behind a great Oline still has to display Drew Brees-level accuracy.

Drew Brees won the superbowl with guys like Potential HOF Jhari Evan's, pro bowlers Carl Nick's, and Zach Streif. I think even bushrod made a pro bowl or two.

The oline argument is silly.

You still have to throw on target at the end of the day.

Nonsense.
Evans has a real shot at getting in at some point and deserves it but Guards have a hard time getting in. Nicks might have had a chance if his career lasted longer but it didn't and won't get in, Strief while was a good right tackle is a no, just no.

Streif was the highest rated RT in the league for most of the latter half of his career.

Look it up.

Wrong yet again.

PFF tracks accuracy in a number of different ways through various novel metrics such as tight window accuracy and negatively graded throws, % percentage of uncatchable balls, etc irrespective of who catches the ball or not.

Jones still blows everyone else away.

I posted about this last week at length in another thread.

If you spent half as much time reading as you do clown voting you wouldn't miss as much key information on prospects that I disagree with you on like you did with Claypool.

You are still posting eyeball opinions & metrics that do not account for the context of real football game situations. I’m even a guy that likes PFF, but I am well aware of the downfalls of reliance on them especially for a QB. No they are not taking a tape measure out to their TV set and saying, “oh the ball was exactly 2.2 centimeters from the perfect spot, so let’s put the red dot right here!” An accurate ball is a ball that is caught. Pressure reduces accuracy for every QB ever, but accuracy be damned if that pressure leads to 17 yards of receiver separation. Pop Warner football knowledge identifies that if you have an elite OL & elite WRs your job as a QB looks way better.

But that’s what you are and I’ve warmed up to it. You’re a football math guy. Every take you make will be based on PFF or a spreadsheet. It’s why I criticized the Claypool takes last year, even though you turned out to be right. Because they were based on calculations and not watching football. Those same metric takes have blown up in your face.

“John Cominsky’s measurements say he’s Aaron Donald!”

“My numbers say Hunter Dimick is the same level as Myles Garrett!”

“Hasise Dubois is so much better than Justin Jefferson, look at these numbers!”

But you ignore the bad takes, in favor of your good ones. I am happy to not be alone in seeing it at this point. It appears you are losing favor fast.

All of this.

The “hits” are magnified while the “misses” are downplayed or dismissed.

It’s also frustrating that pretty much every thread about a college prospect turns into some form of this.

You just can’t disagree with the guy or bring up anything to the contrary of his opinion without insults. The level of obnoxious is unlike anyone I have ever dealt with in real life.

You lose lose all credibility and expose yourself as a cheap liar when you deliberately distort what I said about Dimick and Dubois. Lol.

Those quotes never even existed. :haha-rire-395:

At least you've shown how far you'll stop to save face.

Pretty sad really.

Let the record show that you are the one who quoted me in this thread.

I generally avoid even discussing anything with you after your lack of level-headedness on the Claypool matter.

If you don't like what I have to say then simply don't quote me.

It's that simple.

And yes, there are even metrics for accuracy under pressure and vs the blitz believe it or not.

And yes, the results are largely the same with Jones.

I think Jones had the benefit of outstanding receivers and a strong running game to field a championship offense. It’s hard to say how Jones’ skills will develop in the NFL. However, this is a lot different than the same argument being made when Ditka drafted Danny Wuerffel who also had an outstanding surrounding cast. If Sean Payton ends up drafting him, I will gladly defer to his judgment.
