Corona Drinking Thread (renamed) (13 Viewers)

i love me some jameson, but redbreast 12 is the bomb dot com. the 18, well, it tastes like oil.

if redbreast wasn't so much more expensive than irish liquid gold, i'd drink the fork out of it all day, every day.
I haven't had the 18. The 12 is very nice

In that price range there are other whiskies i like just as much so its just a matter of taste

Drinking the 121 proof Sugarfield tonight....really good whiskey but no doubt it will sneak up on you and punch you in the back of your head without so much as an apology

Never had it. Whats wrong with it?

When I bought it the store owner was talking it up. It's a barrel pick that was exclusive to the store. I had also been hearing good things about it online.

It's just average. It's 92 proof. Mass market bourbon is, often, 80 proof. The extra alcohol in this just makes it more unpleasant to drink.

I added a touch of water hoping to open it up but I still don't like it.

It's awesome in coke though. It might be my favorite alcohol to mix into coke. I could have paid a lot less for a bottle sufficient for that.

If it costs more than budget it should be drinkable neat....I agree

If I may ask, what was the price range?

I think the album is fantastic. Every song. A lot of times I listen to the album twice because it fly's by so quickly.
Musically I do like it.....just think Dee is the weak link.

This is another band that has a bunch of good groove tunes. Saw these guys open for hell yeah 2 years ago and was blown away with how good they were.

I think that it was $55-65. I bought it before the lockdown. I was looking for one of the Old Forrester products (1910?) but, of course, they were sold out. I ended up with Clyde Mays based on YouTube hype, and the store owner's recommendation and I got Old Forrester (1920?).

In both cases I was disappointed. I was ruined for bourbon on my first bottle. I didn't know anything about it and I walked into a local store to find something that might catch my eye. I bought Old Forrester Birthday Bourbon (2007?) and I couldn't believe how good it was. I could pick out so many different flavors, and it wasn't harsh. People caught on, and Birthday Bourbon is now impossible to find at a reasonable price. I'm still chasing that dragon.
