When are we going to start holding him accountable? How many more years of the same thing over and over, get into the playoffs, lose in 1st or 2nd round?

Good guy but 1 superbowl appearance and win in 15 years (12 years if you subtract 2012 - bounty, 2017 - Minn missed tackle, 2018 - ref screw job) is not really good when you've had a HOF QB like Drew Brees. Also when you've had Kamara, MT, Ram, McCoy and Armstead (who all are potential HOFs) for awhile now too. What gives? Why can't he even get us back to the superbowl? He's good coach but not great b/c this is holding him and the Saints back from being great.

Why don't we try Carmichael? Don't you think he deserves a chance at a HC gig?

Carmichael has been here 15 years and hasn't sniffed a HC job.

If you're only grade on a head coach is multiple superbowls there is only 1 coach in the league that is an option. Think we can get Belichick down here.

There are only 13 coaches in the history of the NFL to win multiple superbowls.

I'll take the coach with the best record in the league the last 4 years and take my chances.

Carmichael passed up HC interviews to stay here. People have wanted him.

No my grade isn't just multiple superbowls but my grade does involve not doing the same thing over and over again and getting the same results.

I get it tho, alot of you all love records and not superbowls.

No, we just know a good thing when we see it.

I'm sure we can put Payton through drills of holding the ball tight to the chest and catching the ball instead of whiffing and letting it hit his arm.

That'll take care of it.

Well he should have noticed that player doing that all season and taken care of that or moved away from that player as head coach. Alot of us saw that player being very downtrodded all season why didn't Payton? Yet he kept going to that player and it never seem to work.

Lol. I see Drew Brees w/ one SB.

Again your measure of super bowls is a ridiculous measure. It's hard to get there and even if you are good enough you also have to be lucky enough. That's why multiple super bowls are such a rarity for anyone. Check your expectations. You'll never be happy with any coach or player with that measure. Just hope to be consistently good enough to get a ticket. If you are, luck will go your way eventually.

Did Payton do it or did Drew?

Again, I'm not doing that. I know super bowls are hard to come by. Again, read my first post. I'm not just speaking of the last 4 years y'all. Coach has been here for awhile and still doing alot of the same things that don't win in the playoffs. Regular season maybe but playoffs no and this goes beyond the field even.

Not a film, coaching, or player development expert... but...

I would argue that the players you mention are so good because (or at least in part) due to Payton. Look at Drew with and without Payton. Look at Jimmy Graham, TeddyB, Mark Ingram, Tony Romo, Alvin Kamara and say Payton isn’t an essential part in their development?
