2021 Tight end discussion. Draft two TEs? (1 Viewer)

Pitts would be a monster, but we'd have to trade up to get him. SP does go after who he wants, but there's no telling who he's really high on to go after in this draft. We currently don't have a mismatch on this roster as any player can be schemed out. Maybe SP makes a splash and adds a mismatch like Pitts.

Bring back Arnold and sign Big Bob Tonyan away from Green Bay. Big Bob has developed into an all around TE, Trautman is developing into an all around TE and Arnold is a move TE and still developing, but he has another year under his belt and played well in AZ.

Tonyan trained with Kittle this offseason and it was obvious that it made a difference. We need to send Trautman and whoever else we have at TE to train with Kittle.

Kittle might be able to teach our guys how to run a 4.5.

Lol

I think this Draft Saints need to find the best offensive weapon possible and best defensive player available with first two picks. Hopefully in addition to getting a weapon at TE, they can find an excellent in between tackles runner and somone who can run 20+ times a game. This will save Kamara from getting wear on him.

Don’t sleep on BYU TE (and Metairie native) Matt Bushman. He would have been a day 2 pick last season, but he went back to school to up his value, instead he tore his ACL before the season started (perhaps he could have been the difference over Coastal Carolina). Either way:

They already have Murray but I do like the kid from Buffalo and the one from north Carolina at running back.

It can't be overstated how much a te or multiple tight ends like Gronkowski would help this offense.

We haven't found a suitable replacement for Jimmy since he left in 2016.

There's usually good value at TE at the end of round 1 along with Guard, Center, LBer, and Safety. I want a speedy LB but if a TE is the best player on their board I could live with that. You know SP is dying to work the seams again down the field.

Late or UDFA
Noah Gray

Briley Moore

Cary Angeline

Zach Davidson TE/Punter
Punt Averages: 40.3 ('19), 42.8 ('18), 44.3 ('17)

A friend of mine texted me yesterday and said He'd love to see Travis Etienne selected. He's now projected as a late first/early
second. What do you graft gurus think?

Off-topic but I like Jaret Patterson.

Zaven Collins at MLB and TE Pat Freiermuth might be around at pick #1.

The other two coverage linebackers behind Collins is likely Jabril Cox and Baron Browning.
