Just build a new forking stadium
I feel their pain because we've had tickets in our family since 68. It would be terrible if they told us something like that.
Extremely unlikely for a couple reasons. 1) MBS was designated a historical site a few years back which makes it very difficult to tear it down (if even possible at all) 2) They've invested so so so so much money over the years in the Superdome. Doubt they'll cut chalks at this point.

That's what they're trying to avoid but we probably could've with all of the money that has been spent on renovations. This one alone is like half a billion. The Falcons stadium was 1.6bil and the Raiders was 1.9bil.

It's terrible that this is happening. I do understand that we can't afford it, but I believe we can only get by with this for so long.
I love the Dome, and we're clearly use to it. But I dislike that season ticket holders have to be impacted because we can't build a new stadium.
With the addition of the suites, they are forcing us to move our seats away from the field, which will take some time to get use to.

You don't think any season ticket holders would be impacted even with a new stadium?

The team being relocated for min of two year, because they would probably like to just build the new one over the old one.
Plus, the potential of PSLs. The new stadium could be configured differently moving STHs to other sections/sightlines they did not have previously or could have less seats/more suites leading to some STHs losing their seats.

I think we could excuse that absence. Of course it's much different than the situation for Katrina.

Not being able to see Saints play in an NFL quality stadium and when they do come back. Insane prices. It's really a lose lose.

Since there’s not much else to talk about
The only ‘new stadium’ thing I heard that made sense was the idea of building it on the former Lafitte PJs (now ‘Providence’)
it would have kept it in the city, nearFQ, close to highway system
Since that didn’t happen, I’m good with continuing to improve the Dome
