Popeye's Cajun Flounder Sandwich (2 Viewers)

Yeah, the amount he had seemed about right to me. I like tartar sauce, but not too much of it. The McDonald's fish sandwich almost always has too much.
I'm right there with you on condiments. If they're dripping out the sides its beyond way too much.

I'm sorry to hear that but not surprising. When I was a teen and early college years fished Delacroix and Pointe la Hache frequently and caught a few flounder on almost every trip it seemed. I remember one my dad caught that was so large (when he hooked and fought it he thought it was a big ray) it wouldn't fit in the ice chest without folding the tail over.

My BIL fishes around those areas now and rarely catches a keeper....

It's not overfishing:

Hadn't occurred to me that they farm raise flounder, maybe?
I thought the same thing earlier. Restaurants depend on farm raised catfish. Catfish in the wild could never keep up with
demand.

Yeah, I was thinking exactly that a well. A flounder farm would make sense if that's actually what they're using.

If they're calling it flounder, it's probably flounder. There are many species of flounder, some of which are abundant on the west coast.

For example (per NOAA Fisheries):

Arrowtooth flounder: Abundant from Alaska to West Coast. Not overfished. Good choice for sustainable seafood harvest. Harvest includes commercial trawl.
