So I plan on making only 3 more draft threads, one to address wideouts I like (this one), another to address the great Defensive end depth in the 2021 class and finally, one to address The likely offensive line picks that we all know are inevitably coming instead of all the cool skill players that we want.

Sadly there aren't any DK Metcalfs or Chase Claypool freaks of nature that will be available when the Saints draft this year but there are a handful of good ones who can upgrade the roster.

So without further ado, I just want to run down a brief list of wideouts in drafting range for the Saints who I think give us size/speed skill sets that aren't currently on the Roster.

1)Terrace Marshall

I can't see him actually falling to 28 but many drafts have him here.

2) Tamarrion Terry

6'3 210 with 23 mph speed. Supposedly as fast as Tyreek Hill or faster. Had 9 plays of 60+ yards in 2019

3) Johnathan Adams Jr

He reminds me of a combination of Justin Jefferson and Davante Adams

4) Dyami Brown

PFF has him as the best and most consistent deep threat of the past two years. That includes guys like Waddle, Chase, and Devonta Smith.

5) Sage Surratt

Big possession guy who had over 1100 yards in 9 games a year ago for Wake Forrest

6) Warren Jackson

6'6 wr with over 1000 yards receiving in 2020.

Tall wideout who I think would pair perfectly with Jameis Winston in a WCO type system like he had with Mike Evan's and Vincent Jackson.

7) TJ Vasher

Another acrobatic 6'6 WR with ball skills and Smooth hips that put a guy like Brandon Coleman to shame.

Unlike Coleman he has 50/50 ability and while he is 6'6 he also plays 6'6.

Also check out his amazing catch at the bottom

I'm not going to do a thread on running backs but as we all know Payton likes receiving backs with special teams value so three names there to keep an eye on Are

Travis Ettiene

Kenneth Gainwell

Demetric Felton (can play slot and scatback)

I'm looking forward to the pro day results. Teams are going to sleep on Marshall because other WRs are getting all the hype, but whoever gets him will have a stud WR.

The only one I have watched a lot is Marshall. During the National Championship run he was obviously over shadowed by Jefferson and Chase, he still had almost 700 yards receiving and 13 TD’s with only 46 receptions. This year he definitely took a step forward looking like a true #1 WR even with the offensive decline. I would love to see Marshall or Terry wearing black and gold next year.

He is a beast.

I think he had a 287 yard game in one of the few games he played in this year.

I have

Waddle
Smith
Chase
Moore
Toney

Getting drafted ahead of him in round 1.

If he goes then I can see 6 guys coming off of the board in round 1.

Payton seems to value the 3 cone highly in his receivers and TEs, with MT, Trautman, and Sanders among the best in the league at their position.

So keep an Eye on a guy like Marshall and Surratt.

There might just be a 3-cone guy there too tempting for Payton to pass up again.

They've passed on similar guys like Denzel Mims so I wouldn't count on it.

Like I said, this thread is only half serious. 2020 was a much better wr draft and they passed on every one that was available.

I wouldn't get my Hope's up.

Agreed. If Marshall is available when I pick in my fantasy drafts, I'm grabbing him. I'd take him over everyone except Chase and maybe Waddle.

NOFALCONS10 you've outdone yourself yet again! I love your eye for college football talent. College football still remains my favorite, nothing better than to see these student athletes prove that they are pro worthy and to play "out of there bodies"! Year in and year out you're able to catch certain players that are literally playing in a mental zone for their lives.

As stated here before over the last 4 years, by me, I would love to see if Payton would start to have fun again when drawing up plays for the likes of players like Travis Etienne. I knew this kid was a star game 1.

Can you imagine Payton bringing out the old plays from the 08" to 12" era, the inconsistent Deverey era, with kids like Etienne, my favorites in Jaelon Darden and Terrace Marshall? My God, thats the Saints football I want to enjoy and see again.

One word that describes an only getting better Demetric Brown: wow, amazing, sick, filthy, really?, stop, smh, and so on...take your pick

I could get long winded but would be a total waste of time considering we'll be using our first 4 picks on OL, punter, and place kicker. :mwink::scratch:

Dyami Brown or Terrace Marshall could certainly get us back to that, I knew i was going to dance to the Ying yang twins in sec 630 more than a few times every home game where the Dome is literally ROCKIN'. Especially with the core receivers we currently have. I'm so sick of our 5 screen plays but Payton gets stuck on 2 of them that never works on 3rd & 6 or worse. Dinking and dunking the life out of the fans...

Remember the Sean Payton style offense back when he was tipping his visor to Andy Reid in Philly? Somehow that must've left a bad taste in Coach Reids mouth because the tables have definitely turned when it comes to diagramming creative, innovative, and intricate types of plays that makes opps say damn, "we didn't see that coming"! Well one can only hope and pray.

Good job though NF10!

It wouldn't surprise me at all if Marshall ends up having the best pro career in this class. If he can stay healthy and if he lands in the right situation he could be very productive. His ceiling is probably lower than some of the other WRs in this class but he has a high floor.

That's where I'm at as well. I posted on a different thread back in October, that he may be the best out of this class. People forget that Marshall was a 5* recruit. When his pro day comes and he'll measure at near perfect size at 6'3" 200lbs+ range and it looks like he has an 80" reach with probably 10"+ hands, both would put him above average. The average speed of the top WRs is 4.49, so he doesn't have to have blazing speed to be average or above average for speed. He's going to wow and climb up the boards and if he doesn't climb the boards, then someone is getting a steal in the draft.

Amon Ra St Brown is my #1 rated wide receiver. I think he’s the best all around route runner: deep, mid, short. And he’s fast. Reminds of OBJ or Golden Tate.

I'm looking forward to getting all of these WRs attribute numbers to populate the spreadsheet I created last year. It's not perfect, but it was pretty good.
