I can admit I've never really been impressed with Peat and wouldn't trust him as a backup LT, doesn't seem nibble enough for me. Ram is our RT correct?Peat (and Ramczyk) will be starting left tackles in many NFL teams. Both, and their agents, know that.
In the case of these two players, you have to evaluate them (contract wise) as their complete value.
Peat, a pro-bowl left guard that can switch to left tackle during a game in case of injury.
Ramczyk, an all-pro right guard that can also move to left tackle during a game in case of injuries.
Not only they bring flexibility to our roster, the fact that they can switch and without much notice in the work of the offensive line, is an asset that has value in dollars for new contracts.
