Professor Colston (1 Viewer)

Yes but too early to put him above Colston. We will see how he does with a different quarterback. Also need to see how much he stays healthy. I say in 3-4 more years we will know

Colston is my favorite all time Saint. That said at his best he was never as good as MT, I think too many folks are forgetting that before last season MT had:

92 for 1137 (as a rook)
104 for 1245
125 for 1405
149 for 1725 (all time season record for catches)

While doing above he averaged an almost 80% catch rate per target. Those are eye-popping numbers. Colston is probably the most underrated WR of all time and should have gone to multiple pro-bowls and was an absolute key to victory in our SB win. But he never approached the elite production of MT....

I agree with him being the greatest Saint's receiver so far but I reject the notion that greatness is correlated with being humble. It's just a personality preference. There are several arrogant athletes who rank among the greats: Mohammed Ali, MJ, Brady, Farve, LT, etc.

I still remember when as a rookie he made a literal finger tip grab, not even reaching out for the ball that much and I thought “damn this guy is legit “. Best of luck, Professor Colston! An All Time Saints great

Oh I have no doubt who is the more talented receiver. I'm just saying I would give Mike a few more years before crowning him as the best Saints receiver of all time. Colston had 6 1000+ yard seasons and 2 more of 943 and 902. Thomas has 40 more TDs to catch Colston as well.

If you mean just based on career stats I hear you, but I think it is very likely (if MT stays healthy) he has most of the all time receiving records for the Saints in 3 years or so....

Exactly my point. Being great also means doing it consistently over a span of time and the jury is still out on that. There were a lot of great talents whose careers were cut short by injuries (Bo Jackson.)
