2021 Draft Prospects to Watch This Season (2 Viewers)

Marlon Tuipulotu

Tuipulotu is really good. I always thought of him as a major run stuffer, but this year he developed into a very good pass rusher. He really came into his own & showed some next level talent w/the expanded role & playing time.

Having said that, i hope we meet w/his teammate Jay Tufele too. Tufele opted out this year, which ended up being the catalyst for Tuipulotu’s evolution. Tufele is one of most complete DTs in this draft. He’s complete & does everything at a high level. This dude is relentless & he has an incredible motor for his size. Tufele’s a force vs the run, but his best trait is his pressure/pass rush ability. His first step quickness & explosion off snap is close to an elite level. I can see him blowing up in the pros as a pass rushing 3tech. If we lose Sheldon, i think a player like Tufele would a great fit to fill that role. I believe Tufele is every bit the pass rusher Sheldon is, but is a lot better vs the run. Given his skill set & football IQ, i personally think Tufele would/could be a super star in our D.

Why is Tammorrion Terry not getting more buzz? I bet he's going to go a lot higher than I'm seeing him mocked.
Kinda straight line and stiff-hipped like Meachem and Donte Stallworth.

Might be the fastest player in the draft other than Waddle or Tutu Atwell.

My guess is late 1st-early 2nd.

One of my favorite EDGE players is Joe Tryon from Washington. In terms of a more conventional DE/EDGE, he’s my favorite of that type. From his size/length to his relentless play style, i love everything about Tryon’s game. He’d be the perfect get to replace T-Rex if we lose him in FA.

Tweet w/Tryon & Levi.

You can bet he is in the running at 28.

Jeremiah and Kiper have him going between 26-32.

I keep saying that this is probably the best DE draft in a decade.

It is a very deep class, but there isn’t a Chase Young or Bosa at the top of it...

It is also an excellent Safety class.

Even if Marcus Williams signs elsewhere and the top ranked Safety is on the board at 28... I would wait if I were the Saints.
Cisco, Ford, or Trill Williams could be available in the 3rd and ended up being just as good.

JUST SAW THIS ON TWITTER...

I think Thor Nystrom is one of the most underrated draft experts around. His breakdowns are very precise. His mocks are also very good, in terms of him knowing teams & matching players to their systems. Thor posted a QB ranking & i absolutely think it’s on par. It’s a very good read.

He comps Mac Jones to a “less mobile” Andy Dalton... not exactly high praise.
That would be enough to have me scratch out Jones’ name

I wouldn't quite say that.

Rousseau's is a beast and had 15 sacks last year. Jaelen Phillips is extremely good too. Others like Carlos Basham and Tryon could really break out even as rookies.

This class might have the best collection of ideal Height and Length that I've ever seen in a DE draft.

Guys like

Rouseau
Kaindoh
Phillips
Oweh
Tryon
Ogundeji
Janarius Robinson
Jordan Smith
Elerson Smith
Patrick Jones
Rashad Weaver
Loudermilk
Patrick Turner

It's really incredible.

Unbelievable even.

I like the Safeties you mentioned but I would also include Devine Deablo and Jacoby Stevens.

I'd take June Jones over him.

Jones has Jones over Lawrence and I agree completely.

For the life of me I really can't understand the contempt for Mac Jones on this forum based on a lack of athleticism.

Drew Brees has rushed 498 times for 752 yards and a 1.5 yard average in 20 years.

Jones arm is at least as strong as Prime Brees or Kurt Warner.

Trevor Lawrence's longest pass in his career was only 1 yard longer than Jones's.

Jones completed nearly 80% of his passes and Broke Joe Burrow's single-season completion % record with two less first round wrs to throw to than Burrow had most of the year.

I really just don't get all the hate for this kid or comparison to a guy like Dalton. For one he has much more touch and accuracy and much better feet.

I really wish I understood what some people are really looking at with some of these knocks on Jones.

If Jones looks like anyone I've seen in the last 21 years, he looks the most like Brady at Michigan than anyone in that timeframe.

When Burrow came out I said he reminded me of Eli Manning.
