What you watching? - Quarantine Edition (6 Viewers)

I just found "Call the Midwife". Really love it.

My stuntman buddy works on that
I feel bad I haven’t watched it yet

Fun fact? The house we rent for our Montana fly fishing trip is just a few miles from where they film Yellowstone. You can clearly see the base camp/parking lot but the actual property is over a small ridge and you can't get near it as they have security.

And it is about 200 miles from Yellowstone for reals. I've tried watching it (my sister is a huge fan) but it just seems like modern cowboy mafia to me....

I've started on the first episode of the new SyFy show Resident Alien. It has Alan Tudyk from Firefly/Serenity starring as an alien who crash lands on Earth and assumes the identity of some small town Dr. in Colorado. I'm about halfway in, and it's pretty entertaining and funny so far with Alan (Harry) trying to pass as a human.

Edit: finished the first 3 episodes, it is really funny.
Just getting to this and I find it hilarious!

Finished watching The Immortal, sequel to Gomorra. And waiting for season 5. Best mob series I have ever seen.
There's a sequel to Gomorrah? Edit: looked it up, it's actually a prequel. I've seen the first 4 seasons as well, great stuff. Salvatore Esposito, the actor who plays Genny Savastano was also pretty great in the latest season of Fargo as well...

Ya that Neapolitan accent is a thing of beauty.
They are filming Season 5 now.

highly recommend L’Immortale if you can watch it.

So i just watched the first ep of Real World Homecoming, where they reunite the cast of the original RW from the first season way back in 1992.. Had no plans to watch it, i guess it’s on Paramount Plus but it showed up on YouTube for me, so i clicked on it, and wound up watching the whole thing.. Talk about a time warp; i remember being in my first year of college when it aired, and reality television wasnt yet a thing.. It all seemed really fresh and exciting.. Really cool to see what;s happened with the various cast members, and how different RW was before it devolved into just a giant frat party type of show.

Along the same lines, and i mentioned this in the Punky Brewster thread, but there’s a new documentary coming to Hulu in a couple days called Kid 90 that looks excellent, and i‘m looking forward to checking it out.

I finally caught up on Cobra Kai season 3. That was good stuff. Dropping Netflix for the month and will be moving back to HBO Max next week when Justice League comes out and the Godzilla vs Kong later in the month. I'll probably hit up the free one-month trial of Paramount + before the end of the month, too.

So weird that they're now late 40s/early 50s somethings. It's a good sociology experiment to see these guinea pigs in the flesh on camera as young adults (versus what most of us have which is just a perception of how we were at 20 something) and realize now how truly DUMB you are at that age when you think you've got it all figured out.

I am watching it, I think it’s a scream. Here is my alien story. One of the actresses with a regular role in the show was staying at our house last year when she had a casting call for resident alien. She told us all about the show and ended up getting the part. Wow. Its been a big break for her career. The concept sounded so whacky, I am surprised to say the show is quite clever. Our friend is great in it.

I was thinking of dropping Netflix, but my 3yo loves Camp Cretaceous, so we have that playing a lot. I have to say, its not a bad show.
