Falcon and the Winter Soldier - Trailer (2 Viewers)

Maybe this has been addressed but in Winter Soldier and in the comics Bucky was an enhanced human like Steve Rogers. In the movie he was so bad arse that it took multiple avengers to stop him and even then Cap had to make him remember to stop him, they even built a movie around him. All of a sudden he is this normal guy with a mechanical arm who seems clumsy and not really powerful. Hell black widow was scared of him. Why did they strip him down?
I look at it as whenever he was activated by Hydra, he would go into beast mode. He's still enhanced but not as intense. Plus he's trying to keep his mind right and not go too far.

Dude, I literally said that like 10 seconds before you did! Not as nuanced as yours but the same thought.

This. I think he's holding back and trying not to hurt anyone. He jumped out of the plane without a chute and ran down the truck so he's clearly still enhanced. Now he's enhanced with a conscience instead of a raw killing machine.

His psychiatrist set some rules, and that was #2 iirc. She had to remind him on a couple of occasions, so he's definitely not going all out for that reason.

Just a little inside baseball about super fast running
In the movies they would drag enhanced treadmills which is why it looked like they were actually running very fast (they were)
The cgi jog and the run in the show did not look as good as the movies

Yeah, Bucky is a super assassin actively trying not to be a super assassin. He's the world's most legendary killer going out of his way not to use those skills.

As to Walker's beard, I've seen some people bring this up before as a "goof' but we don't actually know how much time elapsed there. At the very least they had to make their way back from Europe.

They were flying back on the same troop plane, Bucky said they had to go see someone (Isaiah), next shot was Baltimore- ‘language of cinema’ tells us that’s very soon (hours/a day)
Especially since there was no story implication for a delay between ‘go see someone’ and actually seeing said one

Old Bay and Creole seasoning are not equivalent. Using one does not preclude the other.

Also, Tabasco is gross.

No, they're not equivalent; thanks for making my point.

However, yes, IMHO, using one does preclude the other. I tried them together once, they do not play well together, disrupting the flavor of each.

Also, you need new taste buds if you think Tabaco is gross.

He's in his own head. He's atoning for his past.

When he was scary, he was following his programming....

Nah.

I swear something indicated to me a couple weeks had passed. I’ll have to keep an eye out when I do my rewatch Friday.

My only commentary for this week is that "We better get to see Isaiah rip off half of Bucky's arm" is my new "We better get to see Ned Stark fight Ser Arthur Dayne at the Tower of Joy."

Also because I am old every time I see the name of the show I read it as "The Falcon and the Snowman."

Ha, I thought I was the only one who kept hearing that whenever I read the title. You made me feel better...
