LSU Pro Day 3-31-2021 (1 Viewer)

Well, it is a bit odd that we don’t draft LSU players and a good bunch of them have done pretty well in the NFL, but we somehow manage to load up on Ohio State players. Things that make you go HMMMMMMM....?!?!

It's not like the saints can just chose to select all LSU players and haven't done so.

For the saints to select a LSU player he needs to be the best player available at their pick in their opinion. Sometimes, they can be even be searching for a specific position, so even if there is an LSU players as the best available it might be of a position they just don't want, maybe they even drafted another player of the same position earlier in the draft and don't want to double down.

So, before thinking the saints have something about drafting LSU player people should show situations where an LSU player was absolutely the best choice and the saints just ignored him.

They may not be studs but the Saints, under Sean Payton drafted Will Clap, Mike Tennant and Al Woods from LSU. Saints haven’t had a lot of high draft picks to draft studs from anywhere after bounty gate fiasco took away a first and two second rounders. We got a lot of picks this year and I’m stoked to see what happens.
Tennant out of Boston College?

Im a big time LSU fan until last year there hadnt been many LSU football players who lived up to thier billing. In the last 10 years of the draft Burrow, Jefferson, CEH,Odell and Landry are the only players i can think of that lived up to thier potential.

But even then those players except Landry in 14 were gone before the Saints picked. In that draft the Saints picked Cook. Then last year in the case of CEH, Saints already had Kamara and Murray

The 2nd highest paid corner is out of LSU. Queen who the SAINTS could use was passed by...Open Your Eyes!

The only time the Saints are genuinely guilty of not taking an LSU player when they should have was when they drafted Stanley Jean-Baptiste over Jarvis Landry. But on the other side of the coin, that entire Saints scouting team was just flat out horrendous.

I thought Marshall would be taller than 6'2.5
If Marshall is still available i hope the Saints pull the trigger on him. He played well in a pro offense in the toughest defensive conference in the country. I just dont know if he will last till the late second round.

This is good talent for the Tigers at Pro Day. Too bad it did not translate on field last season. Could have been much different team if Chase had played but I can understand why he held out due to circumstances.

Bad offensive and defensive coaching sure didnt help. But it looks like Eddie 0 remedied that.

I think Jacoby is gonna be sneaky good in the NFL. He's a big hitter, enforcer and has a knack for getting INTS or batting passes. Multi talented & even played WR as a freshman at LSU.

The meat and potatoes of the draft are in the 2-4 rounds. I could see him having an immediate impact as a rookie like Winfield Jr (2nd round) with the Bucs.

It doesn't surprise me really. Things have to line up perfectly and there are a ton of players from a ton of schools to consider....that said, like a lot of other teams, they missed out on a few....

Marshall and Chase both ran 4.38’s. Jesus, that 2019 team had some speed!

Can't wait to see Marshall's cone and shuttle (Chase's will probably be the best of the lot) cause it is more important than 40 time....but that will probably raise his draft stock....
