The Derek Chauvin trial {Mod Edit: Guilty on all charges} (4 Viewers)

does anyone know how long a murder trial usually goes for? today is day 3, is it usually a week or two? or longer?

Totally depends on the case. How many witnesses will be called mostly. In this case I would expect it to go on for a few weeks since there were plenty of witnesses and I expect the defense will likely call several experts.

Didn't mention anything physical , I mentioned talking to the other officers , read it again .

People, including several ordinary people and an off duty firefighter/EMT, tried talking to the officers and it did no good. They wouldn't even let the EMT check the guy's pulse or render aid. They wouldn't even let the EMT try CPR after it was clear that George Floyd was unconscious and either dying or dead.

Yes. Many tried to talk them into getting off of him. This is a known fact of the case.
Just out of curiosity JenningsTrucker, what could you have said that would have made them listen to you when they did not listen to anyone of the bystanders?
My biggest problems with this , number one Mr. Floyd didn't deserve to die , number two I grew up being taught respect for my parents , teachers , our country and flag , clergy and the law . I also think I deserve respect too just like Mr. Floyd . Third problem I have with this is why stand around and do nothing !!! Jump in and help , all it takes is one , then others will join in especially when something this horrible is happening right in front of your eyes . How can everyone stand there and do nothing , only watch , film it only ( really ) . What would you do , just stand there ? I wouldn't , SAD , with all those people watching no one tried to do a thing ! No one , not one !!
You are implying that one one tried to help. If you didn't mean physical, then what else could have been said/done? Hell, one guy who testified already said he CALLED THE COPS to report what was going on. He called the cops on the cops.. I am very confused by your post if you did not mean to do something physically. Please elaborate.
To even a tiny bit say no one tried to help is 100 % FALSE. I am completely baffled by this...

Understood , I still would have tried .

What impact do you think your plea to stop killing the man would have done as opposed to ALL THE OTHER BYSTANDERS WHO WERE THERE DOING EXACTLY THAT?

What superpower do you believe to possess, that those who tried to help/intervene do not, that you would have been successful in stopping the cops from killing him?

Tried what? you said everyone else did NOTHING (your words), but even you know that is not true. Please enlighten us. The only thing that would have stopped it was a physical encounter. and that would have resulted in a much worse turn out.

Sorry you are upset and don't understand.

I'm not upset. I'm irritated that you keep dismissing the attempts of actual witnesses as "doing nothing" while trying to claim you would have tried and somehow been more successful.

I know why you think this way. So does everyone else here.
