N/S Dean Spanos Sister Asking Courts To Force A Sale (1 Viewer)

Well, this is a dispute among siblings, not grandkids. Do we have a built-in penalty if another owner tries to sell the team?

. “For the three of us, the Chargers is one of our family’s most important legacies, just as it was for our parents,” the statement said. “Unfortunately, our sister Dea seems to have a different and misguided personal agenda.”

Basically the jist of it

So the Chargers only paid $200 million (a loan from the NFL) towards Sofi stadium ($5-$6 billion). Makes sense as to why they told the Rams to “kick rocks” when the Rams asked them put up more, as the stadium price escalated 😂.

Probably the 2nd worse owners in the league behind Snyder in DC. This team should have been sold years ago. I hope she wins her case and the Spanos family exit the scene.

Never should’ve left San Diego. I went to Jack Murphy Stadium back in the day to watch them play...Inwas in San Diego when they went to the Super Bowl and got smoked by San Francisco. I remember Stan Humphries was their QB at the time. I really wanted the Chargers to win cause Stan was from Louisiana. I even went to the stadium to watch the super bowl on the big screen with the San Diego chicken running around....ahh, the good old days.

I was living in San Diego back when they went 14-2, and a lot of the home games were still blacked out because fans didn't go to the games. The fans should have supported the team more. I guess it's more fun to go to the beach.

Yep. I wasn’t even a real Charger fan but I went to the games cause they were fun. They filled a void for me cause I couldn’t see the Saints. I supported them more than the SanDiego natives....sad.

I went to the Saints/Chargers game when Brees returned and I have to say that is the worst stadium I’ve ever been too.
The stadium from my high school was better.

No doubt you were never in Connie Mack Stadium. When the fans trashed it at its timely end, it probably got better.

All I know is I loved San Diego back then. Haven’t been in years. You couldn’t keep me off the beach. I went to Senor’ Frogs all the time to gamble in Tijuana. You could gamble on everything there. I remember making more money on gambling than what I actually got paid from the military. I remember betting on baseball a lot and won a good bit on a MLB 3 game series once. Nobody tried to rob me back then...I heard it’s different now.

LA will be down to one team within 2-4 years. That stadium is an anchor around the NFLs neck. Shouldn't ever have been built in a market that has proven over and over isn't capable of sustaining one NFL team much less two.
