Falcon and the Winter Soldier - Trailer (2 Viewers)

I'm sure you're joking but what he did was necessary. Strange said there was only one way to win. He didn't lay it out but Thanos had to initially win in order for them to defeat him thus what Star Lord did was for the greater good and part of the plan.
No, in all of those iterations Strange saw that Star Lord was going to be an idiot ensuring they would have to time dance
He’s an idiot

He’s an idiot

He could've stopped him if it would've prevented things but he didn't. Star Lord being an idiot was a necessary evil. Oh wow, he is kind of a villain but he's our villain.

And as an example of what I’m getting at,
do you prefer Isiah’s intro last week or Sharon’s this?

I liked them both. Lean more to Sharon because she got to show some chops and I think there's more to her than she's letting on. Maybe not Power Broker level, but something big.

Isaiah was much more intense even if short.

I find this pretty interesting. There was a rumor a while back the show had to do some heavy editing to remove a subplot that had been deemed too close to the Covid situation and Marvel or Disney or whoever got cold feet about including it. So far we've seen some remnants of the storyline pop up in the vaccine hijacking. This was going to be in reference to some kind of virus that had appeared post-Blip and was sweeping through areas killing people.

Karli visiting the dying woman is also apparently part of this, as that character was supposed to have a larger role as a sort of mother/mentor-like figure to the Flagshmashers, but since the subplot got dropped that's all that remains. Also, when Dr. Nagle references that character later (her name is escaping me, I was pretty out of it when I watched the episode) there is a clear bit of not quite perfect ADR that edits him to say she died of tuberculosis as a result of being in a refugee camp as opposed to whatever the original virus storyline was going to be.

Interesting stuff. Thanks. :9:

So...any chance that Sharon IS the Power Broker? Or that she's working for him/replaced him? She seems to be doing VERY well for herself in Madripoor.

Tremendously fun episode. Loved everything with Zemo. He was every bit as cerebral as we'd expect, and his place in the world took a big leap forward this episode. I was expecting him to outsmart/manipulate and ditch Sam and Bucky 5 different times. Also, cool that the alias Zemo gave Sam was a member of the Thunderbolts. Which is another property I'd be very interested in seeing.

Interested to see how heavily Wakanda plays in the last 3 episodes. While I'm enjoying it, the narrative needs to start focusing in a bit in the back half. This was a fun episode with lots of action, but we've got to deal with Karli and the Flag Smashers, Zemo, Walker and what feels like his inevitable fall (which could probably take the majority of an episode), probably more Isaiah Bradley, and resolving what happens with the shield and mantle, now with the added thread of Wakanda's interest in Zemo and possible lead in to Black Panther 2, with 3 episodes to go.
I don't think there's any chance Sharon is the Power Broker, but it's possible she's working for him. While Feige and crew do change things from the comic plots, I don't think they'd turn Sharon Carter into a villain, especially not on the scale of the amoral Power Broker. After their smart aleck move with Evan Peters in WandaVision, I won't put it past them to have her working for him, though.

However, my actual theory is that she helped the flag smashers steal the formula and is backing them in some way because she believes in something about them or their cause. I think that's why she told the other woman that they "have a problem."

Whatever it is, she's definitely involved in something that she isn't telling Bucky and Sam. We'll find out if that's because it's something she doesn't want Zemo knowing or if it's something she doesn't want them knowing.

TFATWS was slated to run before Wanda - it’s unlikely anything in Falcon is adding on to Wanda (unless I misunderstood your Evan Peters thing)

I hate this show. Spend like 7 years building Sam up to take the mantle of Cap just to see:
"Well, Actually"

When you factor in all the missed time Bucky had with Steve, Sam probably knew him best post-thaw. Really annoying lol.

I don't think he was talking about one after the other as much as what's their m.o. for handling their characters.

You misunderstood my point. I'm just saying I hope they don't make a stupid decision and mishandle Sharon Carter's character like the stupid decision they made with the Evan Peters casting.
