The New Orleans Saints are amid turnover in the positions such as quarterback, linebacker, cornerback, defensive end, and defensive tackle. When it comes to their offensive personnel, everyone except Emmanuel Sanders, Jared Cook, and Josh Hill will be returning next season.

No question N.O has to find a WR in this upcoming draft. As a group this corp could not stay healthy. The only WR that enjoyed a healthy season, Sanders is now gone.

Its still a miracle that Drew beat Chicago with practice squad guys last year.

I hope Calloway can make a huge improvement this year and be our #2. He showed some flashes of how good he can be, but we need more than flashes. If Winston does take the starting QB role, I do think we will see a much different offense than we have the past 3-4 years utilizing our speed players like Harris, Calloway, and even TQS.

Pretty simple analysis... We have Mike Thomas, and then just a bunch of hope....

I'm pretty big on drafting either Kadarius Toney or Elijah Moore in the 1st should either be available and the best option... I think they both fit what we need well with the ability to play slot yet possess enough speed and separation to play outside. You can put Terrace Marshall Jr in there too as an option.

HOPE!!!!😂
That is the most absolute perfect term to describe it!!!

Unless a WR that they had rated in the middle of the 1st round drops I really want the Saints to go BPA on the defensive side of the ball with the early picks.

I think the WR position maybe the best chance to get a good player late in the draft or UDFA....CB? Not so much....

Yeah, we disagree... The last few seasons ended early because we either couldn't block up front on offense (and that's why we went O-Line in the 1st last year), or we couldn't get open past 5 yards....

The defense has been good enough for the most part...

And while we have lost some pieces on defense.... Losing Brees and still not having a viable option opposite MT13 is more pressing IMO...

We need Juice on offense in a really bad way this year if we are going to be competitive in the NFC South.

This may be the 1st time in 15 years that I have gone into the season feeling better about the defense than I do the offense...

I get the notion of wanting another player opposite MT (and I was sorry to see Sanders go as he was a legit option there), I just think we can get that player later in the draft. And we may already have him in Calloway, was frustrating that he couldn't stay healthy as a rookie but perhaps he will fare better in the coming years....I don't think losing the 2020 version of Brees is all that pressing....IMO

On defense, we lost our most productive pass rusher, our 2nd CB, a starting DT, (when healthy) and 2 LB's (Kwon and Anzalone)....we have more holes to fill on D IMO and it is Ireland's strength to get good players on that side of the ball....

A 42 year old Brees - who was a shell of himself at times - was still a top 5-10 QB in the NFL, and it's not even debatable... We will be replacing one of the greatest players to ever grab a football... with either Jameis Winston or Taysom Hill in all likelihood this year...

It will be pressing, and extremely likely that there will be a significant drop off in offensive production as a result...

We need to take mitigating steps to stem that regression if we can...

I don't disagree about needs on defense... I disagree on priority.
